The Basics
Wellmore Behavioral Health Outpatient Services is a branch of Wellmore Behavioral Health, an organization that provides a variety of behavioral health treatment and wellness services. Located in Connecticut, WBH has a network of locations, each offering specific support services. The outpatient services offered by WBH allow clients to maintain a regular work and life schedule with sessions available in the mornings and evenings and focus on goal setting and solution-oriented treatment.
Treatment and Staff
WBH offers outpatient services for adults, adolescents and families. Adults may choose between a standard track and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The basic track is an “open access” program, allowing clients to walk-in for an assessment at any time and receive an individualized treatment plan. Plans are tailored to fit each client’s schedule and services include individual therapy, family counseling, couples counseling, educational groups and drug testing.
Group therapy is also available that meets a range of specific recovery needs, including gambling, gender-specific groups, employee assistance programs, community outreach and a group sensitive to Latino culture. Additionally, case management services are available.
One-on-one counseling is scheduled independently while groups are offered at varying times. Groups incorporate both psycho-education and CBT and focus on topics like relapse prevention, anger management, risk reduction, early intervention, illness management, Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and treatment for co-occurring disorders. The IOP is specially designed to support those with dual diagnoses and consists of three hours of treatment per day for three days a week and provide medication management as needed. The duration of both the general track and IOP varies based on the needs of each individual.
The staff at WBHOS consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, LADCs, LCSWs and LPCs.
Extras
In addition to outpatient services WBH also offers residential treatment and a transitional house for recovering men called Morris House and a residential program for women and children requiring a minimum stay of three months. WBH also offers intensive home-based services and intervention and prevention programs.
