A Forever RecoveryThe Basics

Promising a “unique approach to recovery,” A Forever Recovery in Battle Creek, Michigan provides personalized treatment for each of its clients, and thus eschews any one program structure. Its emphasis is on offering options, though it also has several suggested program tracks residents can take.

Accommodations and Food

A Forever Recovery has a 60,000 square-foot facility located on 14 wooded acres in Battle Creek, with expansive grounds overlooking a private lake. The facility also provides opportunities for residents to take lakeside walks, have campfires and enjoy the retreat atmosphere. Inside the facilities, earth tones and warm colors mark the therapy rooms, lounges and walkways in an attempt to offset any clinical feeling the décor might otherwise project. Clients share bedrooms with one or two other roommates, with an average of about 120 at the facility at any given time. Given the high volume, meals are not exactly gourmet, but residents are still well fed with three meals provided each day by on-site cooks. Meal times last an hour each, and give clients a chance to socialize; there’s also a salad bar available throughout the day.

Treatment and Staff

Within Forever Recovery’s choose-your-own-adventure approach are five basic paths. There’s a faith-based track catered to Christian-specific recovery, a self-help track which incorporates basic 12-step philosophy, a cognitive approach which rejects the previous two models, a holistic treatment track based on yoga and meditation and an indigenous approach that combines the 12 steps and Native American traditions. In keeping with the customization, A Forever Recovery does not impose mandatory lengths of stay for its clientele. It does, however, provide a year of aftercare where alumni talk to their contact every day on the phone, with calls tapering off as they progress. Finally, the facility does provide detox on-site as well, in a smaller building that holds 14 at a time.

A Forever Recovery maintains a large staff. Each resident’s journey begins with an evaluation by an on-site MD; there are also a team of case managers, counselors and a nursing staff to handle clients’ other needs. A Forever Recovery also keeps four security guards on duty at all times; with a large volume of residents there is a practical component to this staffing choice, though one must still consider whether they could thrive in this sort of environment.

Extras

Those looking to stay physically active while they get sober will find plenty to like at A Forever Recovery. There are a plethora of activities to choose from—residents can work out in the facility’s fully-equipped gym, strum a guitar or shoot hoops on the outdoor court; for those who prefer to stay inside, they can always play pool as well. Finally, as an added bonus for clients who elect the holistic approach, martial arts training is also available.

In Summary

A Forever Recovery’s stated purpose is to let each of their residents design their own recovery path. While this is potentially advantageous for those apprehensive about more traditional facilities, potential clients should still consider this route carefully.

  1. I sent my son to this rehab center and I am glad I did. My son had multiple addictions, and he had been an off and on drug user for about eight years. It had gotten so bad for him that he had lost his job, had dropped out of school, and he was a danger to his health and the heath of others. I was afraid for him, and I was afraid the worst might happen to him if he did not get clean from drugs and alcohol.

my son had never been to rehab before. This was his first experience going to a treatment center at A Forever Recovery. This rehab center did great things for hum, and I don’t know if my boy would still be here today had it not been for this program. The rehab center and recovery organization at A Forever Recovery did a world of good for my kid, and I have them to thank for his life.

I did not go to the center myself, but I did tour it, and I did talk extensively with the staff when we went there for my son’s intake. So I can give a pretty good review of the program from the perspective of a parent.

First of all, I was very impressed with the care, compassion, and attention directed at each and every client by each and every staff member. The staff at this rehab center is incredibly skilled in the services that they provide to people, and the staff were very helpful to me and to everyone else from what I could see. This really set A Forever Recovery apart from other rehab centers I had been talking to. A Forever Recovery staff were very different from other centers that I was in touch with when trying to find a rehab center for my son to go to. Too many rehab centers just felt like a factory, and they felt like the kind of place that would be a revolving door treatment center. Not A Forever Recovery. At A Forever Recovery, the staff was compassionate, caring, and very personal. The presence of the treatment center did not feel like that of a factory, nor did it feel like a hospital or revolving door rehab facility.

I was also very impressed with the program offered at A Forever Recovery. This treatment center has been getting something right, and there is no doubt about that. The A Forever Recovery rehab center offers a totally unique and direct treatment approach that is useful and engaging in many different ways. The program, first of all, is quite varied. That was actually the first thing that I noticed about A Forever Recovery that I really liked a lot. Here was a rehab center that, instead of just applying one or two treatment options, this rehab center applied a mixed bag of different treatment options to those who would need assistance in getting off of drugs and alcohol. The program offered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Moral Recognition Therapy, one on one sessions, group sessions, Native American approaches, holistic and spiritual approaches, and a variety of other approaches. My son was able to pick and choose which approaches would work best for him, and he was able to get a lot of help thanks to that.

I was also very impressed with the facility itself. A Forever Recovery might not be on a beach on California or Florida, but it is a nice rehab facility. In fact, I was quite impressed with the overall look and feel of the treatment center, and the fact that the rehab program was truly well kept and clean. The facility was spacious, the rooms and wings all well taken are of, and the overall feel of the treatment center very pleasant. My son did not need a five star resort to get clean, but it was nice to know that he was not spending two months in a dump.

That is most of what I can say for A Forever Recovery. The staff, the treatment approach, and the facility itself all combined really impressed me a lot. I was very pleased with the service and the overall care that my son got here. I don’t think that he would have been able to get clean had it not been for the A Forever Recovery rehab and treatment program.

I would strongly recommend A Forever Recovery to anyone who is looking to beat drug and alcohol addiction. This rehab center is truly impressive and quite helpful in the services that they provide to people. Whether you are a family member or a loved one of an addict like in my situation, or if you are addicted yourself, A Forever Recovery has an approach to addiction treatment that is truly helpful.

  2. If you ever feel like addiction is taking control over your life, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. There are probably many great places but my recommendation would be to check out A forever recovery. Definitely a great staff all around and 24 hr supervision helps make this place really feel safe and comfortable for your treatment. The diversity of programs that are offered are all amazing. I really liked that I had a choice of which program should I do. I did not have to do the 12 steps, I could chose the smart recovery too, but I wanted to do the 12 steps and it was great. I have to say that all the staff are really nice and are absolutely not judging. You can be very open and honest with them, the more open you are the more they can help you. I really want to mention that I loved the one on one therapy. It helped me get on with my program. My counselor was just a genius. I have to thank to the entire team though, they are really organized and everything went very smooth throughout my stay. Everyone was extremely nice and the detox and the program and the counseling was perfect. I am not sure where i would be without them.

  3. If you are serious about recovery and find that the twelve step method is not for you this is definitely the place to go. They do have the traditional 12 steps too, but its facultative. You get to choose between the different options, such as SMART recovery that I choose. The staff are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and professional and truly want to see their clients get better. You will be provided with all the tools and guidance necessary for a successful recovery within a relaxed social environment. Along with the counseling and guidance session there is plenty of time allowed for daily activity outings and free time to spend as you choose. The relaxed environment helps you focus on your healing, and deal with the things you need to deal with. I enjoyed their meals as well, you always get a good choice of meals, so you don’t get bored of eating the same food over and over, even if you stay a considerable time. I really appreciated that I could stay for a longer period of time, because I did not feel like 30 days were enough, so I stayed almost 2 months, and boy it was good. I feel like afr has given me so many tools in order to live a drug free life. Tools that I did not have before, that I did not learn at my previous rehab. I feel like this time I can clearly stay off drugs and I wont relapse. Thank you to all the caring staff for helping me get to this point. Love you guys!

  4. Wow this is such a nice place, very calm, very well set up, nice surroundings really. Even a lake, the building is just so nice. At forever recovery they have saved so many addicts, i know a couple of people who went there and they are all clean and have a great life now.A rare example of a rehab center who takes care of their clients even years later. I highly recommend Forever recovery rehab facility to those who are looking for workable solutions to drug or alcohol addiction. This place offers a workable rehabilitation program, that consists of many steps laid out in a very smart way. First step is they clean the body from the harmful substance, but that is not enough, as the psychological issues have to be addressed too. They sit down with each addict and they creat a personalized plan for them, based on their needs, to make sure that they have a success with the program. They after have individual and group counseling, individual to address certain issues, and group to have support from other members who have similar or the same problems. Than they learn how to think differently, how to identify triggers and handle those or avoid them, also learn anger management. The treatment program consists of individual and group counseling, 12-Step groups and educational activities. They can also participate in AA or NA meetings, and Conscious Decision Making/Moral Reconation approach, which helps clients rebuild their self-image and develop a positive attitude. Also in a group setting they have available self-discovery, relapse prevention and anger management. And since it is a hard thing after an addiction to get back to real life, they also give some like skills in the form of courses to the addicts, which include GED preparations, time management, parenting skills an financial management. They also put a big importance on fitness, therefore they have even a fitness program. There is also a possibility for spiritual therapy and even music therapy, which can be very effective. I can honestly say that this inpatient program is one of the best out there, and the only one that addresses so many issues, and not just issues that are directly connected to the addiction, but also all other aspects. And they truly weed out the bottom of the addiction, they handle it from the core, so the addict does not reuse after they saw what started it in the first place. So i highly recommend forever recovery rehab center, if you know someone struggling, help them by redirecting them to this awesome place, with a great team, nice and very competent staff and A well equipped nice place too!

  5. A forever recovery is truly a place of healing. Through it’s holistic approaches, it covers recovery from the beginning to end. Starting with its detox/residential all the way to intensive outpatient, and after care planning a forever recovery delivers wholeness to the path towards sobriety. Not only does a forever recovery focuses on the individual, it views the process of growth to be family oriented and takes on a magnificent systems approach to reuniting individuals to a healthy, functioning family system by revising the system itself and all members within it. They do not only believe in providing change on all aspects of unhealthy self-medication but transcends the individual within on many levels of the human experience.
It is very common to have addiction related to other mental obstacles, therefore their attendance to Duel Diagnosis is on point and professional best practices. In given the honor to meet the founder, I have seen transcendence at its best representation due to his phenomenal knowledge in field and moreover, the clear empathy, sincerity, and compassion of this individual who represents these exact components in providing true healing. Conclusively, a forever recovery’s philosophy, staff, and mission truly aligns with one another in a very cohesive modality. The environment is excellent, people are truly those who care, and professional style is that in which I say I sincerely trust! They are called forever recovery because the person who leaves after their treatment stays clean, they handle the underlying issues, so they will be fully treated.

  6. Being the mother of a drug addict is one of the worst experiences a mother can go through. I have watched my son get worse and worse and get further and further away from the person I tried to raise. 11 years ago my son started using crack cocaine and it’s been a special kind of hell since then. The first time he got arrested and called me from jail I was out of my mind with worry. Over the last 5 years though when my son would call me from jail I was relieved. I would know he was alive and reasonably safe. I would know exactly where he was. That he was being fed and had a place to sleep. I wouldn’t have to worry about my son doing something truly stupid and hurting someone in his quest to get money for his drugs. When he finally went to A Forever Recovery I wasn’t sure what to expect. He’s been to rehab before and he’s never seemed to want to stay clean whether he was clean or not it just seemed like that crack would take complete control of his life and we were all just waiting for it to happen. I was impressed with the way A Forever Recovery looked and how knowledgeable and understanding the staff there were. They also seemed to truly care about the patients and wanted them to succeed in overcoming their addiction. One of the things about AFR that I really liked was the fact that my son actually listened to the counselors there. When one of the counselors talked to my son they understood what he was going through and so my son didn’t immediately dismiss everything they said out of hand. He was willing to listen to them and that helped him with his recovery tremendously. Another thing was that my son couldn’t fake his way through the program. He wasn’t moved forward in the program until he was truly 100% ready to get moved forward. He went to AFR 8 months ago. 6 months ago he came home. Since then he’s been doing really well. He’s always had a much more strained relationship with his father than with me. He started working to mend that relationship while he was at AFR and he’s continued working on that relationship since he’s been home. The main thing that I could say about my family’s experience with A Forever Recovery is that it feels real this time. It feels like my son will actually have a recovery that last forever and that’s huge.

  7. A forever recovery was the best experience of my life. I had a horrible coke problem and am proud to say I was a year clean and sober yesterday. The case managers care so deeply about every patient there. They don’t candy coat anything though. If you’re wrong, they will put you in your place, which is exactly what you need when you have been living by your own rules for so long and need someone to help direct you in the right way again. I hated it in the beginning, i felt like the staff were all jerks and i was being treated unfairly. But that’s what you need to really get sober, in my opinion. Of course the staff isn’t going to take any level for crap from patients, they are dealing with drug addicts. we are, by nature, people who will do anything to get our way. The drivers, the staff, at the facility and who live in the homes with you are all amazing people. This place has great group sessions and a really effective family program. It’s true, it’s only what one makes of it to really get the most out of it. I appreciated all of the hard work that the case managers did for me.
I swear, pick afr if you need help. My parents had to choose between getting a new car and sending me to rehab, and if you ask them, afr was the best money they ever spent. They got their kid back. I got my life back. It works if you truly wanna change your life.

  8. I was probably one of A Forever Recovery’s toughest clients. I’m partially joking, partially being serious. I was in my early to mid 20s when I went there, and boy was I handful for them! Not to mention the fact that I had to stay at the rehab centre about twice as long as most people do, because for some reason I just could not get a handle on my addiction in the same amount of time that most people can apparently. What was really beneficial about the experience at A Forever Recovery was that, unlike the other two rehab centers I had been to before which cut me loose after 28 days, A Forever Recovery let me stay on until I and they were absolutely sure I had literally made a forever recovery.

A Forever Recovery saved my life. I was reaching the end of my rope with my multiple addictions and I knew it, my family knew it, my friends knew it, my girlfriend knew it, but I was NOT willing to go to rehab again. I would have died had my family and A Forever Recovery not intervened. My family had me meet with an interventionist from A Forever Recovery and my mind was literally changed overnight.

For me, A Forever Recovery was not what I normally expect drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres to be like. Unlike the status quo in most of the rehab programs, this is not a one approach type of deal, and it was not your typical 12 step method of addressing addiction. I got a lot of one on one attention while at A Forever Recovery, which I feel is what was able to give me a full recovery that will last me a lifetime. Without that, the results would probably have been a lot like my other two rehab centers, i.e. not that great AT ALL.

What I like most about A Forever Recovery is that this rehabilitation centre offers what is called a multi-modality approach to addiction treatment. With this approach, the staff at A Forever Recovery basically use multiple different rehabilitation techniques in their treatment center, that all equate to success and happiness for everyone who goes there.

To sum up my experience there, this is not a one-size-fits-all program. I was able to to a degree pick and choose which approach to rehabilitation I wanted to take and which ones I didn’t. This allowed me to be able to focus on the areas that I wanted to focus on, the areas that were truly significant for me and for me alone. I feel like, with the help that I got from A Forever Recovery, I have made a permanent recovery and am on my way to a better future. My hat is off to them, and I strongly recommend this rehabilitation centre for anyone who is looking to be addiction free once and for all and for good. I will continue to support A Forever Recovery, and I will continue to stay in touch with them as the years go by. They hold a special place in my heart, and I hope other struggling with addiction will find them.

  9. My brother was treated at a forever recovery for his addiction, and he was treated very well. He had been on drugs and got help from different people and he has been in a rehab center, which went well and all, but did not make him stay off drugs. After a few months it started again, he went back to drugs, and it seemed like it did nothing. I was so frustrated and our parents too, since they have spent money on it and effort and this is a bad situation that he was in, once again. We were looking for some place else where they would actually get him off drugs for the good, and we read up a lot about this place, especially my parents, cause this time they wanted something that is gonna change him, and he was ready as well to change, he wanted to but he couldn’t all by himself, there was obviously something blocking him. At this place, at A forever recovery they were very nice to him, they respected him, they didn’t make him feel like he was a bad person because he was on drugs, they treated him like everyone would deserve. They were also very nice when we called, and answer all our questions, and they would also always kept us updated on how he is doing and where does he stands on his program. We got to talk to him too, and he also confirmed that it is going well and he sounded happier and he always said that there is something new he learned and he can use it in life and how that connects to his addiction, like he realized many things that eventually led him to realize why he was on drugs and what makes him go back, like he realized what the triggers are, and now he knows how to deal with those. With his words, now I never have to reach for drugs ever again cause I know they will not handle that situation, and how bad they physically and mentally are for me. He said he learned how to face those things that would make him use, and when he came back he was very positive about life. He had a whole new plan what he wanted to do and go back on his studies. I was so happy for him, I still am. He really is like shining since than and doing much much better. After of course he has a sponsor, so they keep in contact, to get through together some harder times, but I know that he will not use again, he is now completely in agreement with is that it is bad, and if he has an issue he would rather ask for help than to keep it to himself.

  10. I can only speak from my experience, but this place rocks! This place is a good place in over all, very good service in terms of helping you come off the drug or alcohol. It is not very nice and old, but the program itself work. In all honesty it is not very nice again just saying, so don’t be surpised, but the point I am trying to make is that it is not the most important part of the program, after as that goes, it does have an advantage that you are still away from your usual triggers and peers who would agree with you to do drugs and so on, and it is ina a quiet area, so you will at least be in a quietnice surrounding. It is next to a lake and you can really relax and forget your day to day life, which in itself has a huge therapeutic value. When you first get there you go to the detox, you go there till you take your last dose and than they move you to a different room. Than you see you do your program, that is set up with a counselor, so you go over your issues, why you are there, what do you want to get out of the program, what things do you need fixing with, weak points and so on. You than go to group meetings and also one on one counselings too. The good thing here too is that there are different tracks that you can choose like faith based and sekf help and what not, so they do not force you go read the bible or whatever if you are really not religious, and those who are they also have their peogram, so eveyone is happy, but they still get the same benefits, it is just a differetn approach to reach the same goal. Than there are these alternative classes or methids, whatever tzey are called, like music therapy and arts and so on. There is also a room where you can work out, and get fit, and or you can go out and do some exercise, there are also group exercises, this I liked a lot, I prefer to work out in a group. There is even a cooking class, I personally did not go, but some others did and it was apparently very useful. But what did it to me was really to see where did my addiction came from in the first place and to really deal with thise things in life, and learned how to deal with them. I also realized many things, many things I wanted to changed and I did change. What is great too is that you learn to recognize thise things people that make you wanna use, or situations that would drive you back all the way again into the same situation, and if you already know what it is it is much easier to handle it. Honestly it was very hard, of course was hard, atvthe beginning, I was scraping the wall from the pain, but it was for the good cause because now I can say I am off drugs and I am clean! Finally clean! All this I would have not been able to achieve without the help feom the amazing staff at afr!

  11. This place is really a help for long time addicts. My half sister has struggled with addiction for many many years! i don’t even remember her seeing fully clean for a longer period than a week or two. Yeah like really bad, i cludi g getting arrested numerous times, it was getting really hard on the family and everyone, we almost never even talked much anymore, cause there was not much to talk about. It was about her all the time, what to do what to do, all our efforts ended up not working, so we were looking for solutions, like we have been for a long time, and we heard ablut afr, and than we watched some videos and read about it, and most of the people said that it really helped them get theough the program and helped them get sober, cause of the more holistic approach they applied. So that sounded really good, we thought since it is a bit different, the are more helping the person find their inner problems and so on it might work. To be honest we did not have much of a beleife since it has been a long time that she was under going so many different treatments or getting hell, but this was it. They did do what they promised and we were all so skocked and surprised. I could not beleive my eyes when she came back, she seems like really honestly happy and satisfied with her rehab. She was herself and we could talk to her and she was there and she was listening and smiling. Amazing! She did not have these urges or this tired used face anymore, she was herself after such a long time. She said what made the biggest difference for her was, that they really made her face her personal issues and see what it was that made her use drugs and they fixed all her issues, she is more confident now and she knows how to deal with her issues and triggers. She said she also realized that she was really hanging out with the wrong people, but now she knows and she made real life long friends at the rehab, and she saw how they were helping each other and really pushing each other to move on their program and to stay clean. She said that there was a gym at the rehab, that was very good, she went ot work out as much as she could, and that helped her also get through the hard parts. There were also many different courses like music and art therapy, she tried them and she liked those too, cause they got to woth together as a group and they had so much fun. She said that she really bonded with many people. She also said that most of the staff were amazing, they followed up on them, and they were really caring about her to get better. The director would come up to her every day to ask her how she was doing and what help does she need and what not. I think thats fantastic that every staff cares this much. She liked the place too, though it needs some upgrades, but it was still nice. Just from seeing my half sister change this much after the rehab I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

  12. No one should have to suffer and struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, and I’m happy that there are programs out there like A Forever Recovery to help those of us who suffer to win the battle against our drug and alcohol addiction problems once and for all. I had failed at multiple different rehab centers in the past before I came to A Forever Recovery, so it’s safe to say that my spirits were not all that high. I honestly didn’t think that this experience was going to be any better than the last had been. But it was. I really enjoyed the diversified approach to addiction treatment and how much it felt like everyone truly cared there. They strongly involve the clients themselves in their own individual programs, and the program is quit diversified too. Definitely the best rehab center I have ever been to.

  13. Stephanie Royce on

I am so grateful to have gone to A Forever Recovery. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I had gone to any other rehab facility. I started using when I was 16 and have gone to a few rehabs since then. Not one of the rehabs prior to AFR was helpful at all. I hated being at them and as such wasn’t able to open up and get the help I needed. My dad is pretty amazing and he did the research and found A Forever Recovery for me. He assured me that he had spoken with the intake counselor there and that the staff at AFR would help me get past my discomfort so that I could open up and get the help I needed. Honestly, I didn’t really believe my dad but he convinced me to go. I really did want to get off drugs so I went. I wasn’t expecting for my dad to be as right as he was about AFR. The staff there were fantastic with me and really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. It isn’t that I was instantly comfortable because I wasn’t at all. I was in a new place, with new people and I was coming off drugs so my emotions were out of control. At first it was awful and I didn’t think I could get past it. With the staff’s help though and the help of the other clients I was able to get over feeling so uncomfortable and started to feel like AFR could really help me. Going through my program was hard for me. Though I had been to rehab before this was the first rehab where I was actually present and working on my recovery. I had some really tough days where I just wanted to go home. I didn’t think I could do it but my peers helped me get through the tough times and I was able to get through my program and graduate. A Forever changed my life. Listening to my dad and going there was the best thing I could have done for myself. I’m happy with my life now. I don’t miss who I was when I was getting high. I don’t miss the people I was hanging out with. I’m living my life again and it doesn’t include drugs or the people I did drugs with. My relationship with the dad is so much better. We can talk again and it isn’t just about drugs or me going to rehab. It’s pretty amazing how much better my life is now after completing my program at AFR.

  14. I always respect people who realize that they are addicted to any drugs or alcohol and strong enough to go and ask for help with their addiction. It is a very hard step they are taking and that`s why they have to find the best place to seek for help. A think A Forever Recovery is the best place. First of all some of the workers there have been addict themselves as well. So if anybody they know what people have to go through when they decide to get clean. If I was in that situation that would be a huge support to me that I can talk to someone who truly understand what I talk about and how I feel. I like the fact that A Forever Recovery has many different option the patients can choose what type of program they want to complete. At this facility they don`t have that one fit all program because that don`t work for everybody and thank God they know that. I like the faith based holistic treatment program the most. I think this is the best way of recovery. That type of program gives back people faith what is so important to have during that time. In my opinion it is not a good idea to try to get somebody clean by using other (prescription) drugs it only make people zombie. People have to believe they can do it!Anybody can easily become addicted to them then everything is starts over again. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery. AFR helped a lot of people this way and most of them still going to the church after they finish the rehab. And this is a very good thing. Keep up the good job!

  15. A Forever Recovery is an amazing place it one of the best rehab center. They offer many different type of treatment. Everybody can find the perfect fit.I love their faith based holistic treatment program. I think this is the best way of recovery. In my opinion it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them then everything is starts over again. And it could become an endless circle. A Forever Recovery helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation, they still believe and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery`s programs they have so many different alternatives to heal. They always come up with something new as music therapy, art therapy or cooking class. I think those are all amazing. But my favorite is the cooking class it is really a good idea to have that at the rehab center. Well eating and nutritious food is so important specially when you are going through rehab and your body needs to heal. It is a great thing to teach the patients how to make their own healthy food so when they go home after the rehab they can use what they have learned about cooking. A Forever Recovery is a highly recommended place if you knew somebody how needs help. Don`t hesitate to give them a call if you have any question about their programs. This place gives you a second change to live and to make changes in your life. And it`s great to have a place like this. Keep up the good job!

  16. A Forever Recovery is really the best rehab facility. Finally my boyfriend accepted my help and let me call this center. After I called them he decided to go to an inpatients program to A Forever Recovery. I think that was the best decision he made maybe he could not have done it on his own. But I am so proud of him he went there. He chose me and our relationship instead of his addiction. What they did to him at the facility it is incredible. He changed a lot he thinks different about a lot of things. He said it was not easy at the beginning but he kept telling himself that he can do it. He was strong enough to complete the program and the staff was there to help him through that difficult time. He told me that he could not thank enough to the staff everything they did to him. Every patients are treated well at the rehab. He said he liked the fact that there are some staff member who was an addict before and he loved to talk to them they share so many stories with the patients so they can learn from them and see that the overcoming is possible. Thank you so much A Forever Recovery for giving back my love of my life.

  17. I would highly recommend this facility. A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehab center. They offer many different type of treatment programs. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. From all the treatment I love their faith based holistic treatment program the most. I think this is the best way of the recovery. My opinion is that it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other drugs like prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them and everything starts all over again. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery they have so many alternatives to get clean. A Forever Recovery helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. AFR gives you a second change to live and to make changes in your life. If you or your loved one is having a problem with drugs or alcohol check out this place.

  18. A Forever Recovery is one of the very best rehab facilities out there. They really work hard to make sure that the person they are caring for has a complete rehab program tailored just for them so that they are assured of addressing all the things they need to address in order to be successful in their recovery. This includes a detox program using a holistic approach so that the person does not have to worry about becoming addicted to additional drugs when getting through detox. Then they get the person set up with therapy sessions in whatever format they feel comfortable with. They also offer life skills training so that the person has everything they need in order to go out and set up their lives in order to deal with whatever comes up once they’re back out on their own. In addition to that, they also have an after care program so should the person experience something they don’t know how to deal with once their out on their own, all they need to do is go in or call and someone will help them get through whatever they are going through at the moment. This is so necessary as many people run into things they have a hard time dealing with once they leave the facility and having someone they can turn to for help if very needed. I would recommend their program to anyone who is in need of a good recovery program.

  19. This rehab is amazing, I know someone who got help from them, and went to A forever recovery for drug addiction, and this person is doing very well now. The staff are very nice and caring, most of them, and really want to help you through the program, so you actually get off drugs, some the selves have been through addiction, so they really understand where you are coming from, so when they tell you what to do and how they can help you, you know they are not saying something stupid, but they speak from experience. So many times you just have to accept their help and listen to what they say hey will help you. And besides this person also told me that they are all very trained and very professional but at the same time friendly, so my friend felt very well there, even though at the beginning then detox was very hard for him, and he wanted to leave a few times, but they always persuaded him to stay and to continue, which he was very grateful for, cause now he is doing very well and he is working on his after care program a lot. He is going to meetings and all that, but it is loads of work, I see it. But the thing is that they did help him with his addiction, and that is the most important. He said that otherwise it is in a very nice place the rehab center, i have seen it too, it is a bit out of the city or how should I say, and it is safer this way, also safer so they can not get in contact with dealers. And he said it is a nice place, calm and inside it is not fancy by any means, but he said the most important is that you focus on yourself and do classes you like, like exercise and other classes, maybe music if you like, cause those can help a great deal. So he did like it and I can see that he is a doing well now, hopefully will stay this way.

  20. A Forever Recovery can be the best place if you or your loved one struggle with an addiction. This facility has very great programs which focus on the person`s needs and what is the best and what makes the recovery easier that for the person. Every patients can find the right treatment for themselves. A Forever Recovery don`t have the one-fit-all program. I like all the classes the facility has and it always comes up with something new. AFR is part of many events and I think that is the best thing that the patients can meet people during they rehab. It tells a lot about this facility it is not like a prison where they lock the patients in and when the time comes they just let them out and who knows what`s going to happen to them. This place is different. I like the most that they don`t talk about the addiction which is a good thing. People know why they decided to go to A Forever Recovery for don`t need to remind them what they did wrong in the past. They want to recover and that`s the main point. I love that about A Forever Recovery. If you`re thinking about turn into a rehab facility or just want to help to somebody I would highly recommend this rehab facility don`t hesitate to give it a call. You`ll find the right way of the recovery for yourself or your loved one.

  21. My cousin has completed A Forever Recovery`s program and it`s like a miracle happened to her. This place did not just save her life but she came hoe like a totally different person. She is so happy she has got goal in her life and she thinks different about things than before the rehab. She does not talk about too much about the facility but she does not need to tell different stories because I can see she was in the best place. She told us that she loved their music class. She has loved music since I know her but now she listen to different type of music and now she plays music too. Right now everything is about music around her and I am so happy for her. The other thing she told about was the staff. She said she never meet that many good people before. Everybody is so kind and they are there to help people. And they are doing it from their heart. She said she is going to recommend A Forever Recovery to all her old friend`s family because she wants to show them that they can have a beautiful life and they can be happy without drugs. So if anybody struggle with an addiction or know somebody who has that problem give A Forever Recovery a call they are going to help.

  22. A Forever Recovery was able to help my daughter when no one else could. She had been in and out of rehab for years and I was at a point where I just didn’t know what to do. The thing about my daughter though is that she tries to stay clean. She tries so hard that the effort drains her spirit and she’s miserable. It was different when she graduated from A Forever Recovery. She works on her aftercare and puts effort into staying clean, however it’s an effort to work on her recovery, as opposed to it taking every ounce of will just to not leave the house and find heroin. The facility and staff at A Forever Recovery made such a huge difference in my daughter’s life. They treated her very well there. No one made her feel like less of a person because she got addicted to heroin and couldn’t get off of it. They treated her with respect and a level of care I haven’t seen at any other rehab she had been to. One of the great things about A Forever Recovery is where it’s located. It’s in a secluded area and so there isn’t temptation right outside the door. Knowing that my daughter couldn’t just walk out the front door and be at a liquor store in 5 minutes was a huge relief for me. A Forever Recovery was different than every other rehab she has been to. They have different treatment options at AFR and so my daughter was able to choose the treatment path she wanted to take instead of having only one treatment path that may or may not work. I could tell that she put more of an effort into the program she did than she ever has before and I could tell whenever I spoke to her the difference that made. One of the great things that she learned at AFR was how to cook for herself. It doesn’t seem like much to most people but my daughter learned how to be more self-sufficient while at AFR. The sense of accomplishment she gets from being able to cook something herself is incredible and she’s able to eat healthier now because of it. I don’t know how it is for other drug addicts but for my daughter, when she’s eating healthy and exercising she’s happier which makes it easier for her to stay clean and sober. Going to A Forever Recovery really changed my daughter’s life. She has a job now and while it isn’t her first job, it is the first job she has kept for any length of time. I’m so proud of her and I am so grateful that we found A Forever Recovery and were able to get her into the program quickly and effortlessly.

  23. I have heard so much about this facility from one of my friend. After that conversation I was so interested in A Forever Recovery so I did a research on that. My friend was right about AFR its programs seem very great and I like that they have different ways of healing not just giving the pills to the patients. The holistic approach is the best way to go. It sound safe and there is no risk to become addicted to other drugs during the rehab just because they giving you prescription drugs. The other thing I like the most is the beautiful nature. I just love nature and I think it is great that this facility is right next to that beautiful lake. That view heals souls! I bet the patients love it, too. I have seen a lot of success video about A Forever Recovery`s graduates so I can say the programs they`re having work out for the patients pretty good. I saw all the patients so happy and grateful and they lucky they found this incredible place. They got the best from everything. If my friend or loved one are going to need some help with any addiction I will highly recommend this place it looks really the best!

  24. A Forever Recovery has such a great program to help people overcome addiction. Their staff work really hard to make sure that you get going on the program that will work best for you. They really take the time to find out what you want to achieve and put you into the therapy programs that will help you do that. They also offer art therapy, exercise classes, yoga, cooking classes, etc. They really want to make sure that when the person gets through their rehab program, they have the tools they will need to go out and set up their lives away from the people and places that contributed to their addiction in the first place. I think this is why they are so successful. So many times the person leaves rehab and goes right back out into the place they came from dealing with the people they used to and the next thing you know, they’re back in rehab due to relapse. Working with the person to see that they need to change their lives so they can continue to stay clean. They also offer after care so if you find yourself in trouble once you’re out on your own, you have someone to call to get help before you find yourself in relapse. I hope people take the time to check them out if they are researching where to send a friend of loved one.

  25. As I am reading all these reviews I have to say I totally agree with everybody who wrote one. I have never been at this facility and I have never had one friend to go to this facility to get help but as I am doing my research for my speech I found A Forever Recovery one of the best drug rehab. I like all the classes and programs it already has and I like the fact that it always do something new and always come up with new treatment and new classes. I think that`s the way how a rehab center should be running. In this world nothing can not be stuck at one level and I see A Forever Recovery keeps developing. The other thing that I noticed A Forever Recovery is part of different events to tell people about how danger of drug usage. I really like when it`s about kids. It is so important to talk to the kids about drug and the parents have to start it as soon as possible nobody wants to see their kid ruin their lives, right? So If I had a friend struggling an addiction I would definitely recommend A Forever Recovery to turn into and receive the help the person need. I am sure everybody who ask for help at A Forever Recovery they are going to get it and they are going to overcome their addiction with that help. This place is worth a check out.

  26. Finding the right rehab program for yourself or a loved one is the most important step to getting someone the help they need to overcome their addiction. A Forever Recovery is one of the best. The programs they offer appeal to anyone who needs help as they will tailor the program to fit whatever needs you have so that you address everything you need to address in order to be successful in your recovery. I suggest that if you are looking for someplace to go, call these guys, take a tour, talk to the staff and you will see that this would be the place for you. They are very caring and work hard to make sure that you get whatever help you need.

  27. That place is amazing , the facility is beautiful and very neat. That the staff members are very competent in what they are doing. I love the food choices as well , it is very important to eat a well-balanced healthy diet when you are trying to recover. Your diet plays a big role in your mental well-being. It is pretty cool that they have a lot of activities too to distract you and to help you relax between . Important that members there don’t feel like they are in a prison. You get tailor made programs wich is great as we are all different so does our problem of source. My favorite is the music therapy 😉 I think it’s great sometimes people can’t express themselves and music can help them ! I know two people that went trough this program and they successfully completed it and since then they have no addiction problems. After you are done there is this program called after care , it means that they follow you up to help you even more as after leaving sometimes people fall back due to friends , family and old environment. If you are struggling with drug problems this place is the best to go for help! I think it’s quite amazing that we live in a world where people can get help when they needed.

  28. I really like the look and feel of this facility from an atmosphere point of view, it seems very homey and safe, which I think is very important for recovering addicts. They should be able to recover in a place that makes them feel safe and comfortable so that they can focus completely on their recovery, and not have to worry about anything else. Besides that, which is really a basic necessity, I really like the programs that they offer and the fact that you can design or at least choose your own recovery program from 5 different tracks, so that you can really find what would best fit you. I think that is something very key in their success, because let’s face it, there is no way that one set program works for everyone. Some people need religion and god in their recovery, and others prefer the holistic approach, etc. So the fact that they provide such choices for each and every patient is just great. Plus they don’t have a fixed time of stay, which is good because you don’t feel the pressure to get through your recovery in a certain amount of time, you can just take your time and go through each of the courses and steps at your own pace and really make sure you get the most out of the recovery program. And then they even provide a year of aftercare after you leave, I think that is great and shows real dedication and passion towards what they are doing there.

It happened years ago when I was just looking around on the internet and searching for rehab centers because I am so interested in this subject. And I found A Forever Recovery. I have read about it a lot and I have to say this facility offers so many different treatment programs for addiction. At A Forever Recovery everybody can find the perfect treatment for themselves I think there is no way that this place can`t help you somehow. It is just incredible that this facility is part of many many events for kids and for the people. I like how this place runs and A Forever Recovery does not just want to help you get off of drugs it helps people in prevention. Unfortunately one of my close friend started to have problems with drugs. I told him about A Forever Recovery and when he decided to go and ask for help he went there and as I said this place have the right treatment for everybody it helped my friend too. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who has a close friend or a loved one having problems with drugs. A Forever Recovery will help to everybody.

I never thought I’d see my sister alive again. She’s been struggling with her addiction for 15 years now and I’ve just been waiting for the phone call telling me she’s dead. I’ve love to sit here and tell you that I never gave up on her and just knew she’d eventually overcome her addiction. The truth is though that I did give up on her. About 5 years ago I just decided that it wasn’t worth the heartache anymore. My parents however didn’t give up on her and have been trying to get her to get help. I got a call from my Mom telling me that my sister was going back to rehab again. I didn’t really think much of it as she had gotten out of rehab about 2 months earlier. The first time my sister called me after she went through detox I could hear the difference between this time and the times before. She sounded genuine. She wasn’t faking her emotions and telling me it would all be okay this time. She was remorseful over the what she had put my family through and instead of promising me that she was going to get better she promised me that she would do her program honestly. Right then I knew that this program could help her more than any of the others she had been through. It was the first time she had told me that she would try. Every time she called me from AFR she sounded better and better. She loved the place and all of the people working there. She said it was the first rehab she had been to where the staff actually cared about the patients and she didn’t get made to feel like some horrible person for getting addicted to drugs. The staff there really worked with my sister to get her through her program and it wasn’t just the groups she went to that helped her. She went on and on about a cooking class they had and how cool it was to be able to actually cook something and not be worried that she’d poison herself. She got to go off the property and go on day trips with the patients and a few of the staff. She got to go see movies or play miniature golf. She sounded happy. What stuck out to me though was that you could tell she wasn’t faking her happiness. She wasn’t just trying to make everyone believe she was doing better so she could get out of there and go get high. She took her program seriously and worked on overcoming her addiction. She finished her program about 6 months ago and she’s still clean. It’s the longest she’s ever stayed clean after a rehab and I’m finally starting to believe that I have my big sister back. I’m not worried about her coming over and passing out in the bathroom with my kid around. It’s a pretty great feeling and I can’t thank the staff at AFR enough for giving me my sister.

  31. One of my friend went there years ago and he is still doing fine, never relapsed and he does not even think about using drugs again. His recovery was complete and 100% Thanks to A Forever Recovery for that.

  32. My respect goes out to the staff members and the team that is A Forever Recovery. This rehabilitation center is not a resort. It’s not a five star hotel. This is a comfortable and pleasant center where people get off of drugs and alcohol for good. I’ve been around in the addiction community and I’ve seen a lot of people suffer from substance abuse problems. I’ve seen people get clean thanks to different rehab programs and I’ve seen them relapse after rehab programs are completed even. Being a Michigander myself and having been connected with the community for some time I’ve seen what substance abuse and addiction has done to our state. It’s been rough here, and A Forever Recovery is one of the few rehab centers in the state that is doing what needs to be done to rehabilitate locals and visitors alike.

I first came across A Forever Recovery when I was seeking help for a dear friend of mine. One of my closest friends since my teen years had come under the effects of a horrendous opiate pill addiction. In truth, this had been going on for some time but my friend had been quite artfully proficient at keeping it hidden and undercover. I was dismayed when I found out the truth, but I had been suspicious that this was the case for some time.

I made a few phone calls to different rehab centers in the state, and I enjoyed my talk with one of the intake counselors at A Forever Recovery the most. He really knew how to help me and how to help my friend. I felt like I was speaking to someone who not only was very knowledgable about addiction but who also knew exactly how to help us and who really cared about us. This man’s desire to help was replicated in the faces of all of the other employees at A Forever Recovery. When my friend’s parents and I took him to the center, we were more than impressed with the description of the program’s fundamentals and holistic backgrounds, and we were also impressed with how comfortable, home-like, and aesthetically pristine the center and the grounds were.

Since my friend went to A Forever Recovery, I’ve been more than impressed with the effects that his stay had on him. He’s a different person now, and we have A Forever Recovery to thank for that. I don’t know where we would be or if he’d even still be alive now if it weren’t for them. Their counseling methods and their structured program really created a powerful effect on my friend and have made him the person he is today. This center and all those who work there have my deepest gratitude for saving my fiend’s life.

  33. I have heard a lot about A Forever Recovery from one of my new friend. When I first met him he seemed a little confused and he got better and better day by day. And he told me his story that he was an drug addict for couple years but finally he accept his family help and he went to A Forever Recovery and completed their program successfully. He said he could not have gone to a better place than this. The staff there is so friendly and they really cared about him and every single person who was there to get help. He said the best thing about the the staff that some of them have been addict themselves that he did not know at the first day he was just wondering how they know what he needs exactly then he understood. The second best ting was that he could choose from different treatment which was the best for him he thought when you go to a place like that you don`t have the chance to do that so that was a good surprise to him and he said he loved it and here at A Forever Recovery everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. So me personally don`t have experience with AFR but after I heard his story I would definitely recommend A Forever Recovery to everyone who struggle with ant addiction and I know about that. Everybody deserves a better life and AFR here to help with it.

  34. My husband loved it at first don’t get me wrong he said all the staff except for one is awesome that one person which is the main reason he didn’t finish when an addict states he thinking about leaving bc nobody would tell him truthfully when he was going back to main building you don’t tell an addict then your leaving today so that made him be like ok from my understanding a lot of people have complaints about this one staff person also him and I being lied to about how many days we were told 30 day program he gets there they tell him 40-45 and told me same thing after he’s there also while in detox those days don’t count towards your stay I’m very upset my husband was loving it until that happen were doing everything we can to keep him on the right track he still on right track as far as wanting to go to na meetings and staying busy hope he keeps it up

  35. I have nothing but the best to say for A Forever Recovery. This center truly has the desire and the incentive to help other overcome drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. I am so grateful for what they are doing and for what they stand for. This center is the simplicity of a gathering of like-minded, educated, experienced, and diligent and patient individuals who all share the goal of rehabilitating those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol and making new people out of them. I could not respect them more. There isn’t a cruel or derogatory bone in their bodies, and the program itself is tailored perfectly to fit the needs and wants of any addict.

A while back I made a friend who, though I did not know it at the time, was struggling with a pretty terrible prescription drug abuse problem. After continuing our friendship for many months, I began to notice some strange habits and behavioral mannerisms in my friend, the likes of which were pretty indicative of addiction and substance abuse. I confronted him on it after gaining irrefutable proof of his addiction, but he refused to talk to me about it at the time and my confrontation of him almost cost us our friendship.

Over the course of the next several months I continued to work on my friend, and I even teamed up with his parents and siblings and we all worked on him. He still wouldn’t budge. After all, prescription drugs were legal right? What was the big problem with taking them recreationally? We just couldn’t budge him try as we might. One by one, family members and friends began to give up on him, but his parents and I stayed with it and continued to confront him every few weeks about his drug habit.

It wasn’t until we contacted A Forever Recovery that real progress began to be made. They put us in contact with a professional interventionist. Once we staged an actual intervention on my friend, I could start to see a change of perspective occur in him. Suddenly he was willing to at least tour the facility at A Forever Recovery. We all went to the center the next day and got a tour. Never have I been more impressed with a business as I was with this one. Their center was clean and up to date, but not at all clinical or medical. It was like a big home where we all felt instantly comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and personable while maintaining a strong professional and educated demeanor. They explained the different tracks and methodologies of rehabilitation that they employ there and we were all quite impressed with it to say the least!

My friend checked himself in the next day, and given the direction he had been heading, I am quite certain that him going to A Forever Recovery actually saved his life. He would not be with us today if not for them. His experience was great, he learned a lot, he came out a totally recovered person and he has been great ever since. My deepest thanks go out to the staff at A Forever Recovery for saving my friend’s life! Keep fighting the good fight, and my support is ever with you!

  36. I have researched several rehab facilities and A Forever Recovery is one of the best I found. They offer a holistic approach to rehab that I am really interested in. Getting clean and sober without the use of other drugs to do it really seems like the best way to go in my opinion. The fact that they offer individualized programs for their patients instead of the same cookie-cutter approach really interests me also. I would definitely choose this facility for drug rehab.

One of my friend is having problem with drugs. Unfortunately she met some new guy at school and they told her that she needs to try out what they`re using to feel good. She did it and now it seems like she became addicted to it. I am doing a research for her. And I have seen so many success videos and i have read many blogs. I would say that A Forever Recovery seems the best place to go if you`re battling to any addiction. Their program is working out pretty good for the people and you can choose from different treatments they don`t try to help only one way to everybody. I have read that some of the staff has been an addict themselves and after they recovered they decided to help others through this hard time. A Forever Recovery offer many activities like music therapy, art therapy they have gym as well. And I like it a lot. This facility is located at a great area the patients can just go outside and have a walk in the beautiful nature it`s around the facility and they can just relax and enjoy it. Every patients can find the perfect class for themselves. This place is amazing! I hope she is going to accept my help make the right decision and going to choose A Forever Recovery because this is the place where I would go if i had the same problem with drugs. And if you`re looking for the right place for yourself or for your loved one I recommend it.

A Forever Recovery is such an amazing facility. Everything about the place from the moment you enter to when you leave is meant to make you feel comfortable and help you. When you get there you are treated with respect and no one makes you feel bad for having to go to rehab. The people that work at AFR really understand addiction and a lot of the people working there have gone through rehabs themselves. When you are going through your program, seeing the people who have gone through rehabs and are clean and doing well is really nice. It gives you a realistic hope that it could be you when you finish your program. The different programs they have make it so you pick the program that has the best chance of success. They also have some amazing classes at AFR. The cooking class is my favorite. It’s very basic but you learn how to cook meals for yourself and others. How to tell if chicken is ready and stuff like that. It’s a ton of fun to do and if you started doing drugs early cooking wasn’t something you learned how to do. The meals there actually taste good and are also healthy. Every other rehab I’ve been to before just worked on my addiction. At AFR though they work on everything body, mind and soul so you really get better. They help you get your body healthy again and have a gym where you can get back in shape. Then when you work on your addiction you are actually in a good frame of mind to sort through your emotions and problems. They really work with you to get to the root cause of your addiction and the steps you need to take to make sure you can handle the problems in your life without resorting to the use of drugs to get through them. When you finish your program and graduate you are ready and feel good about your ability to stay clean. The staff that work at AFR are unbelievable. They are always there for you and willing to help in any way that they can. They actually care about the patients and how they are doing.

I would highly recommend this facility. A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehab center. One of my family member completed their program and he is living a drug free healthy life. he told a lot about A Forever Recovery. He said it is a great place and I can see that too. I see that this place gave back him to us. He told that they offer many different type of treatment. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. He really loved their faith based holistic treatment program and I think this is the best way of recovery. In my opinion it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them then everything starts over again. That`s a really great thing about A Forever Recovery they have so many alternatives to heal. A Forever Recovery helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. A Forever Recovery gives the people a second change to live and to make changes in your life. And this is a great thing. Keep up the good job!

  40. I really like this place. One of my family member went there for a facility tour and to check out this place. During the facility tour they gave all the information the patients and the family members need to know about this place. They told some of the staff members have been an addict and after recovery they`re happy to help people through the process. They explained everything about the process for the patient and for the family members as well. To A Forever Recovery it`s important to let the family members know everything about the facility and the programs. This is a great thing. A Forever Recovery has such good treatment programs and they offer many recreation opportunities to the patients as such music therapy and sports. Check out this place if you or your loved one need help.

This facility is amazing! First of all I like that some of the staff members have been and addict themselves and after they recovered they have a job and now they help other people who`s in need and they now exactly what the patients are going through. I thinks it is an amazing thing that A Forever Recovery saves lives, helps its patients gives them a second chance to live and if it`s not enough offers them a job. Beside that their program is very good and it`s work pretty well for the patient. They don`t have the one-fit-all program. They offer different treatment and the patient have a choices to pick the best for themselves. If you or loved one need to go to a place to get clean and get his or her life on track. A Forever Recovery is the best place to turn for help.

I was looking on the internet for the best rehab facility which has the right treatment program for one of my friend. I checked out several facilities and I can say A Forever Recovery seems the best choice. I like that they don`t want to help to every patients the same way. The patients have a chance to find the best way of recovery for themselves. My friend decided to go to A Forever Recovery to receive the help he needed. He completed their program and he said he liked the holistic treatment the most his opinion is that is the best way to overcome a drug addiction. He said there was different type of treatments as they say on the internet and they have many activities the patients can do. Such as exercise and music therapy. The place looks nice, clean he said he`s glad he chose AFR that was the right place for him. And he would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs help with any addiction.

  43. I’ve read a lot of reviews and comments about A Forever Recovery, and I agree that it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s not. Some people say it’s a terrible place to go and others say it’s the best one around. So what’s the truth? If you’re thinking about sending a loved one to rehab, you want to know what the facility itself is like and what the treatment program promises. At AFR, the facility is designed to feel more home-like than most other treatment centers, with warm colors and a peaceful environment designed to help residents feel calm and safe. As for treatment, AFR offers a variety of programs that cater to different residents’ needs, and there is no mandatory length of stay. For people who prefer a more holistic approach to recovery, the rehab offers a treatment track that includes yoga and meditation, too.

A Forever Recovery is not what you are told by the commissioned telemarketers you talk to on the phone. The place is run mostly by security. Detox is in a shabby building a few blocks away and you are held there well into 2 weeks so they can bill insurance the high rates they charge.
Once you move to the facility you see immediately that most of the 120 patients are 18 to young 20’s with drug problems. They take up most of the group time with petty complaints.
The place is freezing and they won’t adjust the thermostat. It’s filthy and left to the patients to clean.
You have to line up for your 10 minute phone time. Just like in jail.
If you want to live like an inmate this is not the place to go. If your over the age 27 or so and mature don’t go here.
Scientologist Per Wickstrom is the CEO so beware. This is a Narcanon facility named AFR. Books you have to read are all L Ron Hubard based books.

  46. Deara Vanbuskirk on

FR’s program is not “very great”. they do give pills to patients and then tell them they have to “wean” them off. This is for billing purposes.
Do you think they are going to put negative videos on their website? Come on! The facilitators are barely out of treatment themselves.
It is not age appropriate either like we were told. Mostly 18-24 year old drug addicts. The place is drafty and freezing.
Treatment is punitive in nature more run by security than anyone else.
It has been uncovered that Scientologist are owners.

  47. If you are in need of help with your addiction or you have a loved one that needs help A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehabs I’ve ever come across. The place is super nice with a nice warm and inviting feel to it. It’s so much easier working through your recovery when you are in a place you feel comfortable in.
When you start on your recovery program the counselors there will help you so you get on the right program for you as they offer many different options for treatment programs there. The groups that they do are made to really make you think about your life and how you usually deal with things that come up and how you should actually deal with those things. No one gives you the answers but instead help you to reach your own conclusions.
The staff that work there are amazing in the level care and patience that they show to the clients. It’s really pretty incredible. You know walking into AFR that you are going to get help and that everyone there is there to help you in your recovery. They care if you’re having a bad day and do everything they can to make it better. If there is something back home that needs to get sorted out they will help you do that there and they are happy to do it.
You learn so much about yourself during your program that when you finish your program you leave with confidence. Knowing the things you need to do for yourself to make sure that you stay sober. It all makes A Forever Recovery one of the best places to go if you need help with addiction.

A Forever Recovery is one of the best drug rehabilitation. My cousin was struggling with drug for years and he tried other facilities but those were not working for him. But finally his family found A Forever Recovery. At this place they saved his life and now we got our cousin back healthy, happy and drug free. The holistic treatment that A Forever Recovery has is the best way to overcome addiction. They don`t try to give you different drug to get you off of drugs. I think that does not work that way because you can easily become addicted to the other drug they`re giving you and here at AFR they know that. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help with a drug addiction.

A Forever Recovery is the perfect place to turn into if you or your loved one are struggling with any addiction. At AFR they big deep to find out why the patient turned to drugs. They not just help you get off of drug also help people to get back on track and find themselves. Not every patients the same and every patients need different treatment to the successful recovery. The staff at AFR knows that and help the patients to find the right program for each person. AFR also has faith-based holistic treatment which works pretty good and I have seen many success story about people who found their happiness with it. I think this is the best way of recovery. Beside the excellent programs AFR has great activities like music therapy and exercising. And the patients need to heal their soul as well during rehab. These activities are the best for that. At a beautiful facility like A Forever Recovery overcoming addiction can be easier and the staff is trying to make it less harder for the patients. Some of the staff members have been an addict themselves and I think that`s why they`re so caring and understanding with the people who try to recover.

  50. Definitely check out A Forever Recovery if you or a loved one is struggling with an addiction problem. The rehab is located on a beautiful 14-acre piece of property, and it offers a wide variety of treatment programs to suit each clients individual needs, including a faith-based track, the traditional 12-Step program, a self-help track, and a holistic program. The staff here is friendly, caring and compassionate, and the accommodations are warm and comforting. It doesn’t get any better than A Forever Recovery for addiction treatment!

  51. This program is poorly led and managed. It is not a 12 step program. It is based in some frankly unusual moral reconciliation therapy that is non therapeutic. Like we need moral revisions.

Some clear issues. I am a professional and was surrounded by 20 something. Heroin addicts. It is not an environment for professionals. The facility is old and drafty. Bunking is traditionally 4 to a room. Food is institutional grade.

AFR is like a minimum security prison. You are assigned tasks to do daily which normally be tasked to housekeeping staff. The facility is unclean and drafty. You are tracked base on offenses against policy. If those offenses are above a certain level you are shamed by wearing a colored vest. This places security at the facility as prison guards who are chasing the 20 somethings around.

Rather than a nurturing positive atom sphere this is one based on negativity and fear.

The only positive groups were security and the nursing although nursing admin and the physicians were scary. They work off a game plan of one size fits all. You are required to be off all psych meds. Very little effort is placed on moniring you or researching your past. The doctor was arrogant and unhelpful. Examples are when I was ill I had to pay for my own trip to urgent care. On another occasion A client under medical supervision seized in my arms. We had to force staff to call 911.

While there may be some help here for young heroin addicts stay away if you are older or have any intelligence. Go to AA or NA.

You are not a patient here but an inmate.

The head of my therapy section had a 20 year kid in a panic because his answer has a hyphen and was longer than the number of characters required. He also obtained his credentials by attending a five day seminar out of state.

    Caveat emptor.

This is exactly why I’m picking my husband up from there today! It is not age appropriate for my husband as was promised on the phone by the telemarketer. My husband told me the facilitators are barely out of recovery themselves. Also they lied to me when they called me. I asked if my husband was put on any meds and they said no. He was and when he had his first meeting with doctor he asked to be taken off immediately but doctor said they had to wean him off! I’m sure they do this for insurance purposes.

  52. I have heard so much about this facility from one of my friend. I was interested in A Forever Recovery so I did a research on that. My friend was right AFR`s programs seem very great and I like that they have different ways of healing not just giving the pills to the patients. I have seen a lot of success video about A Forever Recovery`s graduates so I can say the programs they`re having work for the patients pretty good. I saw all the patients so happy and grateful and they lucky they found this incredible place. They got the best from everything. If my friend or loved one are going to need some help with any addiction I will highly recommend this place it looks really the best!

  53. I did a research for one of my friend. I have seen so many success videos and i have read many blogs. I like that A Forever Recovery offer many activities like music therapy, art therapy they have gym as well. Or the patients can just go outside and have a walk in the beautiful nature it`s around the facility and they can just relax and enjoy it Every patients can find the perfect class for themselves. This place is amazing! I hope my friend is going to make the right decision and gonna choose A Forever Recovery because this is the place where I would go if i had the same problem with drugs. And if you`re looking for the right place for yourself or for your loved one I recommend to check this facility out.

  54. If you’re looking for a rehab facility that offers a wide variety of treatment plans, rather than just the 12-Step program that most rehabs adhere to, A Forever Recovery is it. Choose from self-help, faith-based, holistic, cognitive or any number of other treatment programs designed specifically around your individual recovery needs. A Forever Recovery also offers a year of free aftercare for all clients who complete the treatment program, which means they get continued support during their first year of sobriety. No matter how you look at it, A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehab facilities around!

MM Did you go here? I doubt it.
The young heroin addicts treatment facility is just that. Not geared for professional or people above the age of 25. Wearing an orange shirt to signal to other people that you are not allowed to talk is ridiculous. Don’t carry your coffee cup to group or you get wrote up. These infractions keep you from moving on. All created to keep you at a pace where they can bill insurance for longer stays etc… It appears that people are hired to write good reviews on AFT. If you read you will see same grammar errors and same type of language used. Be smart people

  56. I would totally recommend this facility, very nice, well equipped, really caring staff and huge place. But all the place is not as important, what is important is that they get really good results, as theipy approach addiction differently. They detox the addict first, mthey help them throught this sper, but than with their holistic approach they help the individual handle the reasons and causes that made them addict in the first place. Than they also do some courses that they can apply later in life for the benefit of themselves. They also learn how to handle certain situations in life that they could not before, therefore they went into drugs or alcohol, as they could not face those things. Besides this they encourage the addicts to do sports and some other activities that makes them feel better and helps them through out the program, like music and arts etc. They have an after care program too, so they take care of those who are returning to their homes. Very good rehab center, i recommend it to those who wanna stay clean/sober after really, and not fall back, as their personalised programs do work!

  57. 60,000 square feet, that’s amazing! Not to mention, all of the acres of land around the facility allowing patients an honest chance to deal with these addictions away from the vices that have surrounded and troubled them for so long, keeping them from the path of recovery. I believe it is crucial that each patients first step is an evaluation from an on-site MD, that is amazing, also offering case managers, counselors and a nursing staff as well. I am officially impressed with A Forever Recovery. I took the liberty of viewing the success stories that are on their website and they are amazing, the staff are caring people that treat their clients as family, not patients that are sick; they truly care about recovery clients AND their family from what I’ve seen in the success videos. I would suggest A Forever Recovery to anyone looking to overcome their addictions, OR their loved ones looking to help!

  58. What an impressive program this is. I can only tell what I witnessed and this facility gives 100% and more into building a solid foundation for their patience so they are able to develop their strength in using coping skills for their every day walk in this world. THANK YOU a million times over for your knowledge and professionalism that has made my son believe in himself.

I have heard a lot about this rehab facility and I did a research on it. And I just would like to say that their holistic program seems the best way to get you off of drugs. No risk to become addicted to the pills what they`re giving you only natural stuff and it is so good. I like that A Forever Recovery`s patients have the opportunity to help the community and doing volunteer jobs. So the patients don`t feel like they are in jail or they`re locked in that building. I think it is the best place to turn into if you`re having problem with drugs or alcohol. They`re here for you and really want to help not just take you money. Check AFR out if you or your loved one is in need.

  60. This rehab has a very soecial program that is more holistoc and more based on the individuals needs. I had a very close family member who ha also been on drugs for a few years but he started very very young, he did a very similar program to this one, and he really did stop taking drugs. He was super addicted to very very hard drugs and was ruining the entire family. I must say that this program did help him, and than he got a job and has good relationships too. I think thought that an individual should want to get cleane before going to a rehab, if they are forced they will never stay clean. This rehab though also gives them plenty of data about life and how to continue after they are cleane, good program.

  61. Kind, caring and professional staff, and you can’t beat the location. If you or a loved one is struggling with alcoholism or drug addiction, A Forever Recovery is definitely one of the best rehab facilities out there. There are numerous treatment tracks to choose from, including faith-based, cognitive, self-help, indigenous or holistic care, and the program includes one year of free aftercare for clients who successfully complete treatment at the rehab. Plus, the scenic 14-acre property that A Forever Recovery calls home is peaceful, beautiful, and overlooks a private lake. You really can’t beat the treatment program at A Forever Recovery – it really works!

  62. I have looked at several different rehab facilities to see what the differences are and what programs are offered as there are so many different places out there, sometimes it’s hard to choose. When I saw A Forever Recovery, I felt like I had found the place I was looking for. For one thing, they are a fully accredited rehab facility which is very important. They also offer a holistic approach to rehab which is also very important to me. Being a holistic program they take into consideration the whole person – mind, body and spirit. They also teach the person life skills they will need once they’ve completed their program and are back out on their own. These skills help to make the person feel more confident and in control of their life so there is less of a chance for relapse. A very well balanced program.

If you`re looking for the right place to go to receive to the help that you or your loved one need check out A Forever Recovery. I would highly recommend this facility. The holistic program they`re having the best way of recovery. No any other drugs, no pills only natural stuff you use for your recovery. I think that`s the only way you could overcome your addiction and you won`t become addicted to prescription drugs or any other drug they use to get you off of the drug that you`re addicted to.
And other thing that I really like about this facility is the beautiful nature you can enjoy during your rehab. So here you can get all the natural stuff for your health and nature for your soul.

  64. If you`re looking for a good rehab facility, I would like to highly recommend A Forever Recovery. I like that they sit down with you and work out a personalized program which is only for you. They know there is no one fits all program is going to work. I like A Forever Recovery`s events like picnics or concerts they make sure they show the word that there is always a second chance to change your life and there is always a place you can go and ask for help you`ll get it to make changes in your life. So If you think that you can use their help don`t hesitate to call them.

  65. I love their faith based holistic treatment program. I think this is the best way of recovery. In my opinion it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other (prescription) drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them then everything is starts over again. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery. AFR helped a lot of people this way and most of them still going to the church after they finish the rehab. And this is a very good thing. Keep up the good job!

  66. I would really like to recommend A Forever Recovery as a good rehab program for someone who is seeking treatment for drug addiction. Their staff will take the person and tailor a program that will address everything that person needs to address in order to be successful in their recovery. The staff will then work with the person to get them through this program and whatever comes up during the program. They really help the person to concentrate on themselves and deal with whatever they need to in order to complete their program. Being in a distraction free environment like this really helps to bring this about.

  67. My friend just started to have problems with drugs so I want to help him before everything turns serious. I was looking on the internet for the best rehab facility which has the right treatment program for him. I checked out several facilities and I can say A Forever Recovery seems the right choice. I like that they don`t want to help to every patients the same way. They have a chance to find the best way of recovery for themselves. I like is the holistic treatment this is the best way to overcome any addiction. I hope he is going to agree with me that he needs help and he`ll go to an inpatients treatment and let them help him. This place looks nice, clean and modern it is the right place for him

  68. I guarantee most of these comments are written by owners/ staff members. Why dont they tell on here that you first go to another “facility” to detox (it looks like a crack house) ? I know because i voluntarily went there a while back. When i was almost done with detox, i found out that they were sending me to a place that is based solely upon SCIENTOLOGY ! I then tried to transfer to another rehab and a tall young African American lady threatened to have me arrested if i tried to leave. If you want to ask me any questions directly, email me at 2smokeguy@gmail.com anytime. Oh yeah the name of the detox is Tranquility Detox too I just remembered.

    • my daughter is there now. . they talk about them being “treated as individuals” but on a list to get 1 on 1 counseling n need it personally to get started n the help they need n went there for. n she needs that now. they want her to talk openly in front of a bunch strangers. (She’s always been a quiet person)but she hears one telling there story then when that persons not around, they talk crap about’m. cuz,” their story was a joke compared to theirs” so of coarse she doesn’t say a word and that stops her from going to the nxt level. ( think the sober/qualified adults there wld maybe step in n teach them some respect n to grow the hell up) For the amount it cost, you’d think they cld pay for a few more licensed people to make this place all that it sells itself to be. my nephew loved it. every person n their story is different….??

Yes I agree. I know first hand what kind of a place this is since my husband was there. Insurance scam and telemarketers try to talk you into staying there.

  69. If you are looking for a quality substance abuse recovery program, definitely take a look at A Forever Recovery – a beautiful rehab facility with personalized treatment programs, a caring staff, on-site detox, and a commitment to keeping clients physically active during treatment. The staff at A Forever Recovery works closely with clients to develop an individualized treatment plan that suits their unique recovery needs, which may include 12-Step work, a Christian treatment program, self-help, cognitive treatment, or holistic care, which includes yoga and meditation. Whatever your recovery needs, whether you’re struggling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol, the treatment program at A Forever Recovery is one that really works.

  70. Wow, what a fantastic place this is. Especially with all the different amenities and choices for rehab programs available. I really like that they are willing to work out a program tailored to the individual, rather than a one size fits all program. We are all different and have different things needing to be addressed in order to have a successful recovery. The staff will work with the person to ensure their program does this and will do everything possible to help get the person through it. This is what I would want in an addiction recovery program.

  71. This rehab is excellent. I will tell you from experience, I was on drugs for a long time. I did not want help going in and have tried other rehabs before this. The biggest difference here is the people and the way they run the program, hands down. I would not have been able to do it with out all the support and education that they provided me with. I learned so much about drug addiction, I learned so much about myself and I learned how to cope with addiction. I feel very blessed and thankful coming from one of the worst drugs and coming out alive. 5 years clean, I feel like I have to share my story in hopes that someone reading this finds help and a safe place to get it.

    • Thank you Faith for your feedback on the program. My son is going tomorrow and I am hopeful but very worried for him. I pray he is able to find the recovery that you were.

      God Bless,

      Debbie

  72. A Forever Recovery is a beautiful facility. It looks so friendly you can`t even tell you`re at a drug rehab It more looks like a camp for kids. The nature is wonderful and the patients can just go outside and enjoy it. The best place to relax your mind and body. I`ve never been there just drove by couple time and I didn`t know what it is. When my friend told it is a drug rehab I was like wow I couldn`t even tell that.

    • not all the ppl there are making my daughter feel to welcomed or comfortable. We live 3 45 min away n she took a jacket n clothes but has to triple up on everything cuz shes freezing ( but “can buy clothes there. The price were paying for this place, that shldn’t be an issue for her. other things but wanna confirm what I’m being told about the rest.

      • Hope this works out for her. She couldn’t of been or gotten sober w/out this place. This is the first time and pray that it does work out for her.

  73. A Forever Rehab saved the life of a young man that I personally know for a very long time. Struggling with prescription medicine addiction for all his life, he tried to get clean on his own and in outpatient programs. Unfortunately he always fell of the wagon and got back to the old habits. He had to literally lose his family (his wife couldn’t take it anymore and left with their daughter) before trying an inpatient program and Best Drug Rehab is where he went. He only has great things to say about the facility, the staff and the program, eventhough it was extremely tough. It is no walk in the park, no matter which facility. Ha made wonderful friendships and the skills he learned there (such as to handle the problems in his life in a healthy way, instead of escaping to drugs) will help him forever. He has been clean for years now and a very happy man!

  74. If you are struggling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol, A Forever Recovery is the place for you. Unlike other rehab centers that only care about getting your money, A Forever Recovery really cares about its clients, and the staff members are so friendly and understanding, no matter how much trouble you’re having staying sober. Clients here are always treated with respect, and with so many treatment programs to choose from, your chances of getting and staying sober at A Forever Recovery are high. If you’re not into the 12-Step program, you can choose from any combination of holistic, faith-based, self-help or cognitive treatment services until you find the program that’s right for you. That’s the best part about A Forever Recovery, you get to work with the staff to create a personalized treatment plan that suits your own needs, it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach.

  75. Great experience touring this facility. Caring staff members (some ex-addicts) took the time to explain what this process involves not only for the patient but for the family members as well. Relaxing environment. Lots of recreation opportunities, including sports. The many types of programs are classes provide options for each individual. I have watched some graduation videos on Youtube and they are very inspiring. Unfortunately the person that I wanted to help is not ready to make this step yet (but it will happen), in the meantime I can recommend this place for others that are in trouble.

  76. A forever Recovery saved one of my family member`s life and now she is a totally different person then she was before. Since we were kids she was always bored and never knew what to do with herself that was the reason she turned to drugs. But now she`s not bored anymore she has a new hobby. She said she loves to run since she started to do exercise at the rehab. The facility`s program worked for her and she said the beginning was very hard and it seemed like the time is not going but after the hard part she really enjoyed her time at the facility. A Forever Recovery is the perfect place to turn into if you need help with your drug addiction!

  77. Of all the rehab centers I’ve researched, A Forever Recovery seems like one of the best, with individualized treatment programs and a staff that truly cares about helping clients get the help they need to overcome their addiction. The Forever Recovery grounds are beautiful, and even though clients have to share bedrooms with roommates, you can’t beat the benefits of the program – a 12-Step program, holistic treatment options and even a faith-based track for Christians. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities for physical activity, including walks by the lake, yoga, working out in the gym and even martial arts training. I would recommend A Forever Recovery to anyone in need of treatment for alcoholism or drug abuse.

  78. This facility is amazing! First of all I like that some of the staff members have been and addict themselves and after they recovered they have a job and now they help other people who`s in need and they now exactly what the patients are going through. I thinks it is an amazing thing that AFR saves lives, helps its patients gives them a second chance to live and if it`s not enough offers them a job. If you or loved one need to go to a place to get clean and get his or her life on track A forever Recovery is the best place to turn for help.

  79. A Forever Recovery has some of the best programs out there for helping someone suffering from alcohol or drug addiction. The staff will sit with you and find out what is happening in your life and what contributed to you getting started with addiction. Once they have all the info on you, they will work with you to figure out a program that will best take into consideration all of the things you need to resolve in order to be successful in your program. They have a great facility which offers you a safe, clean environment with no outside distractions so that you can concentrate on yourself and get through the program. Their staff are there for you every step of the way and will help you get through anything that comes up. You should definitely take a look at this program.

  80. During the facility tour they give all the information the patients and the family members need to know about this place. Some of the staff members have been an addict and after recovery they`re happy to help people through the process. They explained everything about the process for the patient and for the family members as well. They offer many recreation opportunities to the patients as such music therapy and sports.

  81. A Forever Recovery is one of the top rehab facilities that you can choose to send a friend or loved one. They offer programs geared towards getting the person clean through the use of a holistic approach to rehab. They allow the person to choose the type of program they feel the most comfortable with so they have a better chance for success. Through this program they get through detox and then into the counseling program of their choice. They also choose extracurricular activities that appeal to them like exercise, cooking, arts, etc to show them that they can still be creative and contribute to those in their surroundings. They also learn life skills they can use should any of the temptations arise that led them to addiction in the first place. You will get a complete program.

  82. If a person is truly seeking recovery, no matter where they go they will find it. There is always a reason to drink or use if that’s what you want to do.
AFR, (in my opinion) is a beautiful place. But, just like any other “business” it is about $$$.
And like any other “business” it is not perfect.
BUT, I would say, today, they have more people who have successfully transitioned from a life of alcohol and drugs into a new life!
They have rules, they have to have rules for safety of everyone there. Like they don’t want you there if your seeking a “relationship” with other people who are themselves vonerable. Or they don’t want you to have certain products that contain alcohol in them. These are there for protection.
Detoxing is the worst part, no matter where you are!
The worst part for me was the beds! They are “bunk beds” and very hard, plastic covered torture chamber like. But, the food is pretty good, and the people are amazing!
    Nothing in life is perfect.
I did manage to graduate! And still sober and clean almost 2 years now!
    Peace & love

  83. Dissatisfied Soul on

A Forever Recovery is a joke. They tell you that you’ll be in the facility for X amount of days but once they see they can’t scam your insurance for more funds, you become a recovered person instantly. I wouldn’t send my dog there to be trained to eat out of a dish!!!! What about family involvement???? Nope! Not that either. I’d basically say it has the same concept as a cult that brainwashes people. I’m calling the state health department.

  84. This is the place I would take my loved one. This place is safe, offers many program what make you feel comfortable. And I love that you can just go outside and enjoy the nature. You can get the right treatment. So many success story proof that.

  85. NoT a good job place THEY TREAT THEIR WORKERS LIKE REHAB PEOPLE. WHEN YOU DRUG TEST THEY STAND THEIR AND WATCH YOU. NO PRIVACY VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING. IF YOU DO RANDROM DRUG SCREEN THRU OUT THE JOB WHY MAKE PEOPLE FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE JUST FOR THE INTERVIEW. SUCKS

  86. Really great place that is doing really great things for people looking to recover from addictions. They are helping people come clean and put their lives back together and back on track for success. No better place could exist. They will tailor programs for each individual as no recovery path is the same. Each person has different needs to help them fully recover whatever addiction might be ailing them. A Forever Recovery does just that! They will help you get recovered!

  87. I visited A Forever Recovery 9 months ago and I’m sober and happy after I finished the 12 step cognitive treatment at their facilities. I literally am amazed by their work and how they managed to help me in overcoming my addiction. I was fighting with alcoholism for maybe 2 years. Their recovery was exceptional, there is a lot of spiritual and cognitive support. They will heal your mind and body and they put great dedication to each individual. Their facilities are exceptionally well build and amazing. The location is astonishing. I really loved staying there. Thank you, you treated me well and that is why now my life is amazing!

  88. I have looked at this facility, among others, for someone who needs help. Unfortunately she still needs to make that step to start recovery, but I wanted to share my thoughts on this place. I feel like this is where I would take my loved one to get help for addiction and the people that run it are the people that I would trust with someone I love. Of course there is no universal solution to addiction and that is why I believe in finding the cause that caused it in the first place. This approach, and the strong support system they offer have real results, and their inspiring success stories are proof to that!

  89. Everyone at Forever Recovery really cares about the patients. They offer different programs to help overcome different types of addiction. They know that one-size-fits all programs have lower success rates and that’s why they go the opposite direction. My uncle really needed help and Forever Recovery was the only rehab centre that was able to help him. A+

  90. A good friend of mine sent her son to this center a few months ago, all I can say on our end it that it was a great experience for her and her family. The setting for the center is very nice and peaceful. There is not to much going on here and because it is kind of in a secluded area and away from things it makes it better on the people going here I think because they do not have to deal with the commotion of other things going on and they can full concentrate on there recovery process. They have a private detox center here that is off of the main building so that is good because they obviously are not in the best condition when they arrive here. She felt very comfortable and well taken care of. She was able to relax in the hot tubs and she was able to get massages whenever she felt in pain and that was a big help to her while she was going through everything that she was going through during the detox process. Every one seemed to be very caring she said and she felt well taken care of and in good hands an she felt that all of the staff had her best interest in mind. She was able to transfer to the main building after completing her detox which she said was the hardest part for her to get through once she got through that process she was able to find out what type of therapy was best suited for her. She was offered many different types of treatment and was able to find something that related to her. When she started attending group she began to find out so many things about herself that she never even really knew before. She began to take life a little more seriously and realize that she had a problem and she began to realize that it was serious and she needed to do something about it. After a few weeks attending group she said that she finally began to see a change in herself and she was starting to understand why she was using and began to see all the pain that she was causing herself and the ones around her. She began to write things down and in time she began turning them into poems and then she realized that she really enjoyed writing. She was starting to realize that this helped her work through a lot of her problems in life and she was able to see all the things that were putting her in danger by writing them down. It was nice to be able to here her say that she found out a way to work through her problems instead of just turning to using because she did not know how to deal with them. She was able to attend group with others going through the same things in life and so she was able to relate to a lot of what they were going through. This also helped her to understand what she was doing and why and how to fix it. She needed to know that she had the support of her friends and family back home but she also knew that she had to do this for herself and she came first and her life was of value. After a while she had completed the program, with the support of her peers in the facility and the guidance of all her counselors at this center. They never turned her away if she needed to talk or did not understand something. They were always there to help her and talk to her about anything. Never once did she feel judged and they always gave great insight about what to do if certain situations arose again in the future so that she did not revert back to bad habits. I really thank every one at this facility, for there effort, patience, skills, and knowledge to help everyone that comes into this facility with a condition that they are needing help with. They seem to really care here and put in all the work needed to make sure that every body succeeds before leaving. It is definitely not a place where they just want you to come and then want to get you out as soon as possible to get the next one in, which unfortunately I have seen a lot of centers like that i the past, only offering thirty days or something. Everyone is different and they are all going through different struggles in life so some one may be able to get through a program in thirty days while others may take longer and that is a good thing about this place you go at your own pace to ensure that you get all the benefits out of the center and you are ready to leave. Also once you are ready to leave they set you up with a full year of after care, and that to us was a big plus because it gives you time to adjust to the new you and ensure that you are going to put all of the new skills to the test once you leave and make the best decisions that you can in your new journey to being drug free. I really hope that if you know anyone who is struggling with an addiction to anything that you give this place a try, I do not think you will be disappointed and I believe that they really do pride themselves in offering as many different types to treatment as they can so that they know you all have a better chance of succeeding when it comes time to leave. Good luck to each and every one of you and I hope that this has helped in some small way to get you on the path to recovery and restoring your life to live it to the fullest.

  91. lovely location, awesome staff. Thank you AFR for the help you give these people with addictions. you see the good in people when no one else does!
