TerrosThe Basics

Terros is a healthcare organization that provides a variety of medical, wellness and social services to Phoenix-area communities in Arizona. With a network of locations offering varying services, Terros allows clients to choose the location that best suits their recovery needs. Clients can enroll in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a co-occurring disorders program and a residential program for addictive disorders. A credentialed staff integrates the 12 steps and CBT methodology into treatment.

Treatment and Staff

The outpatient program at Terros is individualized to each client’s unique recovery needs. After an initial assessment, a treatment plan is devised to outline frequency of attendance and duration. Services use evidence-based methodology and include individual therapy (which is scheduled independently) and weekly group sessions that explore a range of topics. Groups use lectures, videos, talking sessions and written assignments to cover topics such as relapse prevention, addiction education, family bonding, building self-esteem and the 12 steps.

Terros endorses the 12-steps as vital to recovery and the framework is integrated into the program with Big Book study and sponsors. Support for clients with a dual diagnosis is also available if deemed necessary.

The staff at Terros consists of clinicians, psychologists, LPCs and LSWs.

Extras

In addition to a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program, Terros also offers a variety of other health and wellness services to clients and the broader community. Primary medical care, mental health counseling and treatment, family services, community living, crisis services and sober living environments.

Upon completion of the program, clients are encouraged to participate in the aftercare program, which lasts one year and consists of weekly group and individual sessions at the request of the client.

In Summary

Terros is a good choice for those seeking structured treatment that incorporates evidence based methods of treatment and the 12-steps. With a continuum of care that includes a residential track, an IOP and sober living, clients have the option to step down their levels of care, making Terros a solid choice for Pheonix-area residents seeking reliable support.
