The Basics
Serenity at Summit offers drug and alcohol rehab services on an outpatient basis at four locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Providing holistic and evidence-based therapy methods, the Summit Outpatient programs have served teens and adults since 2012. Summit provides Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and standard outpatient treatment to those who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Treatment and Staff
Summit Outpatient provides flexible scheduling and comprehensive care, allowing clients to receive treatment that fits into their lives. Clients receive an in-depth assessment to determine the level of care needed, and then an individual clinician is assigned. If PHP is recommended, clients will participate in treatment up to five hours a day, five days a week. The IOP meets three hours a day three times a week, and the standard outpatient is typically once or twice a week for three hours. These programs, which are usually about 12 weeks long, are individualized and a combination of group and individual therapy along with holistic methods, like acupuncture, Reiki, once a week yoga and hypnotherapy.
Therapy modalities incorporate elements of the 12 steps, SMART Recovery, CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT and relapse prevention. For dual diagnosis clients there are specialized groups that offer insight into mental illness combined with substance abuse, and provide holistic techniques for managing cravings, as well as medication management resources.
The staff that comprises the clinical side of Summit are Master’s-level CADCs and LMFTs who have many years of experience with addiction.
Extras
A weekly family program is offered that can either be with or without the clients in a group or individually. An aftercare group that focuses on relapse prevention is offered to clients who have completed the initial programs, and is offered weekly as group therapy.
In Summary
The client-centered goal oriented treatment offered at Summit Outpatient offers unique methods in the type of upscale setting generally found in longer term or residential programs. With the variety of treatment options and holistic therapies, clients have a greater chance of healing.
