The Basics
Recovery Concepts was founded in 2006 in Easley, South Carolina, a neighboring city of Greenville. The CARF-accredited organization provides a variety of outpatient substance abuse treatment services to adult men and women.
Treatment and Staff
The intake process begins with an assessment, followed by a consultation with a physician, so that an individualized treatment plan can be created. Clients found to need of a higher level of care will be referred to outside residential or detox programs.
Treatment consists of individual and group therapy that uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT, DBT, as well as education, sharing and relapse prevention. Individual sessions are scheduled as needed. Since treatment plans are specific to the client, the exact length and intensity of the programs vary.
Although Recovery Concepts is not 12-step based, counselors recommend clients attend AA and NA to supplement their treatment. Clients with a dual diagnosis are are given additional support through individual therapy with a mental health counselor.
The staff that includes two MDs, two licensed nurse practitioners, CACs and CSWs.
Extras
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) by way of buprenorphine and methadone is available to clients with opiate addiction.
Recovery Concepts also offers social interventions and family therapy.
