The Basics
Pure Spring Family Counseling Center offers outpatient services to adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. Located in Westminster, Colorado, the treatment offices are on the second floor of a commercial complex in the Denver suburb. This boutique counseling center has provided outpatient services for residents in Denver, Aurora and Broomfield counties since 1997.
Treatment and Staff
Potential clients undergo an evaluation performed by a licensed psychologist. Based on the assessment, the client is provided with a treatment plan designed to accommodate their work, family and life commitments.
Individual therapy uses Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT and CBT and may focus on managing depression and anxiety, identifying triggers, coping skills, trauma therapy and relapse prevention.
There are two substance abuse groups that meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 6 pm and one co-occurring disorder group that meets on Wednesdays from 5 to 6 pm. If appropriate, anger management and parenting classes are offered. There is also a young adult group that meets on Mondays from 4 to 6 pm. Adolescents under the age of 16 must have parental consent. Family groups are offered by appointment.
The team at Pure Spring consists of two LADCs and one MFT. Clients with co-occurring disorders must be under the care of a psychiatrist for medication management. Office hours are Monday through Saturday by appointment.
Extras
An eight-hour DUI class is offered on Saturdays for first-time offenders.

Pure Spring Family Counseling Center provides outpatient services for adults and adolescents in a private boutique setting. Individuals with extreme cases of addiction or who are at risk of relapse may find an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) a better fit but Pure Spring is ideal for those with busy schedules who require flexibility in making appointments.
