Located in the upscale Seattle suburb of Edmonds, Washington, NorthPoint Washington is a luxury residential rehab facility offering a blend of holistic and evidence-based treatment to clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. NorthPoint operates four treatment facilities in the Northwest—two in Idaho and two in Washington. In addition to the Washington residential program, NorthPoint provides a variety of outpatient services at NorthPoint Evergreen in nearby Bellevue.
Accommodations and Food
NorthPoint Washington’s campus is located on a beautiful estate with space for 20 residents. The grounds are complete with luxurious gardens, walking paths, space for guided meditations, yoga and workout areas. Private and semi-private gender-specific rooms are available.
Meals are designed by an in-house dietician to be healthy and high-quality, but there is no candy, coffee or caffeine allowed.
Treatment and Staff
NorthPoint Washington strives to create individualized treatment plans unique to clients suffering from any number of chemical dependency issues, including alcoholism, prescription drug addiction, cocaine addiction, heroin addiction and dual diagnosis issues. NorthPoint has an on-site medical detox unit, where the average stay is five to seven days. After detox, clients usually remain in inpatient treatment for 30 days.
Therapy at NorthPoint uses CBT, DBT and the 12-step philosophy, as well as holistic methods to compliment traditional therapies. The treatment team encourages 12-step participation and in-house meetings are provided. Residents attend group therapy several times each day and have individual therapy as needed.
The staff at NorthPoint Washington consists of LMFTs, LCSWs, psychiatrists and additional Master’s-level clinicians. Holistic practitioners on staff include a nutritionist, yoga instructor and massage therapist. Clients receive comprehensive dual diagnosis support and, when needed, meet with a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication management.
Extras
In addition to residential treatment, NorthPoint offers a few outpatient options at Northpoint at Evergreen, including Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and family counseling.
NorthPoint Washington also offers mindfulness and spirituality lectures, therapeutic massage, rock climbing, yoga and long walks.
