The Basics
La Clinica Noroeste de Comportamientos Modificados (The Northwest Behavior Modification Clinic) is a treatment center that offers outpatient recovery services to the Spanish-speaking communities of Pasco and Yakima Washington—two towns in an area of the Pacific Northwest known primarily for agriculture. Clients are surrounded by a landscape with expansive crops of apples, grapes and hops. At both locations, La Clinica offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with an individualized approach to treatment.
Treatment and Staff
LCNCM treatment starts with an initial one hour assessment conducted by a Master’s-level counselor who develops a course of treatment with the client. Assessments may include a written test or a drug and alcohol screening. After the assessment the client will begin weekly individual therapy sessions using CBT and DBT. The total length of treatment is typically twelve sessions over a four-month period. LCNCM doesn’t utilize the 12-step methods.
Depending upon the needs of the individual, treatment may include pain management, co-occurring disorders treatment, adolescent focus, adult or geriatric focus, relapse prevention, and assistance for adult children of alcoholics. For clients interested in LNCCM’s family program, family, spouses and loved ones are included in therapy sessions with special focus on co-dependency, living with an addict or an abuser as well as intervention training.
LCNCM staff consists of a team of Master’s-level therapists and counselors and MFTs. Both the Yakima and Pasco clinics offer the same treatment tracks.
