The Basics
JourneyPure Emerald Coast is located on the beautiful Florida panhandle. A coastal outpost of the larger JourneyPure conglomerate, it offers a series of comprehensive addiction services including detox, residential care, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults. The outpatient programs integrate individual and group therapy based in evidence-based protocols with 12-step recovery principles. In addition to scientifically proven methods of treatment, there are also a variety of holistic and spirituality based approaches implemented for healing.
Treatment and Staff
The outpatient options are typically a step-down option from the intensive residential tracks offered through JourneyPure. The highest level of outpatient care, the PHP, is an all day program that is heavily structured with therapeutic activities throughout. The next level is the IOP, which is usually a nine hour a week program. These programs are based on the clients being completely stable medical wise and have no need for any sort of detox, along with the ability to live at home while in treatment.
The outpatient programming encompasses their signature total wellness model and is entirely individualized to the client’s specific needs. Throughout the outpatient experience clients are working on their life skills and reacclimating to their communities, improving their communication skills, learning relapse prevention and identifying triggers. Both of these tracks includes a dual diagnosis program that consists of focused counseling and medication management.
Therapeutic modalities include CBT, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), DBT, EMDR, and neuro and biofeedback sessions. There are also a variety of experiential therapies applied and recreational activities.
The staff of this JourneyPure location is made up of medical doctors and nurses, addiction counselors, LCSWs and case managers.
Extras
During the outpatient program clients participate in yoga, music and art therapy, equine therapy, songwriting, journaling, expressive arts, day trips to the local beach and more.

The outpatient tracks at JourneyPure Emerald Coast maintain a highly structured schedule of programming along with a variety of experiential activities. There are several treatment options that pick up where the inpatient track leaves off with a lighter touch, through helpful, loving, warm and healing approach. The outpatient programming at JourneyPure is an ideal step-down from the treatment for those who are stable enough and have a safe, sober living environment.
