Community Bridges, Inc. Outpatient Review
Established in 1982, Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is a CARF-accredited behavioral health provider that operates a number of residential, sober living and outpatient programs throughout Arizona.
Each location tailors its programming to the needs of its specific community. As such, its outpatient programs include Scottsdale’s UnscRipt, which focuses on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for addiction to prescription pain killers, and Mesa’s Center for Hope, which supports pregnant women. Most of CBI’s outpatient programs provide treatment at the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) level of care.
Treatment and Staff
Clients receive a bio-psycho-social assessment upon entering outpatient treatment. After, they’re given a treatment plan that includes 16 weeks of group therapy, usually three times a week, and individual therapy as-needed. MAT is usually administered with Suboxone and clients also regularly meet with a physician to discuss their dose and create a time-line for tapering.
Groups have under 15 participants and are led by Master’s-level therapists including MSWs, LMFTs and addiction counselors. Most locations also have consulting psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners for dual diagnosis support. Therapy uses CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and explores topics such as creating boundaries, early recovery issues and relapse prevention. While not required, clients are strongly encouraged to attend peer support meetings such as AA/NA or SMART Recovery while in outpatient treatment.
Extras
Clients can request family therapy if loved ones would like to participate in treatment. The treatment team also helps clients locate primary care options in their community.
In Summary
Community Bridges, Inc. has been providing community-focused substance abuse treatment for over 30 years. Its experienced treatment teams can offer dual diagnosis support as well as help clients access additional primary care and supportive services, acting as advocates for clients’ long-term recovery and overall well-being.
