Cedar Lake Lodge Review
Based out of North Falmouth, Massachusetts, Cedar Lake Transitional Properties is an organization which provides sober living homes for those in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Clients stay at the men’s home, Cedar Lake Lodge, for anywhere between four and six months, getting sober support while learning basic life skills.
Accommodations and Amenities
Cedar Lake Lodge is a 12-bed home with bedrooms shared between two to three clients. Rooms come with twin beds, end dressers and shared closet space. The home also has living room areas with a TV and couches, a dining room, on-site laundry and a fully-equipped kitchen. During their stay, all clients are expected to cook and prepare their own meals.
Rules and Regulations
To stay at the home, all clients must actively participate in a 12-step program and be gainfully employed. Residents must submit to regular and random drug tests and obey the house behavioral contract. The facility also has an on-site house manager who oversees the clients and can offer guidance as necessary, though the residents themselves also take charge in running the home’s daily operations.

Cedar Lake Lodge has a spacious backyard on-site and is directly across the street from a community recreation area which has a baseball field as well as basketball and tennis courts. Although residents generally lead their own lives, the facility offers case management services as well as basic assistance with medical care. Aftercare services in the form of individual and group therapy is also available.
