Though 12-step involvement is not required, clients can still discuss AA-related topics with their counselors if they wish. Recommendations for local AA/NA meetings are also available.
Family and couples therapy sessions are also offered. Generally speaking, these sessions cover issues including codependency, communication and boundaries.
For those addicted to opiates, a medically assisted withdrawal program is available as well. This process is done on an outpatient basis and requires clients to come to the clinic for weekly dosing. Services are continued until the medical team deems it no longer necessary. The program includes medication, four 90-minute group therapy sessions and visits with a psychiatrist.
The four-member staff consists of a psychiatrist, LCSWs and a Master’s-level therapist.
Extras
In addition to treating substance abuse and mental health issues, clients can also receive treatment for PTSD, self-esteem issues, OCD, life transitions and LGTBQ issues. While traditional talk therapy is the usual mode of treatment, hypnosis sessions are another option.
