Situated a few miles west of Boise, Idaho in the city of Meridian, Zelus Recovery is a boutique treatment facility that provides care for adolescents and young adults under the age of 25 who are struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders as well as those with co-occurring mental illnesses like anxiety and depression. Treatment and Staff
Zelus provides individualized treatment. Before beginning care, clients undergo a comprehensive intake evaluation that assesses where the clients are and also helps to determine the most effective tailored care plan. Unlike a residential program where adolescents would be pulled away from their parents and school, the facility’s IOP offers comprehensive care between three and four evenings a week. Clients are able to live at home and continue with school while receiving treatment. Individuals in the outpatient program engage in sessions once or twice a week.
Zelus offers an individualized approach to care with personalized treatment strategies drawing from a range of therapeutic methods including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, multisystemic therapy, the 12-step recovery model, evidence-based models and medication management. Clients engage in one-on-one sessions with addiction specialists, group CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In addition, the team teaches coping strategies that help clients identify and work around triggers and boost their self-esteem.

Zelus believes that family involvement is an integral aspect to the success of a sustainable long-term recovery.
