The Basics
For over 50 years, Willamette Family Inc has provided a range of behavioral health services to residents of Lane County, in southern Oregon. The organization is an expansive non-profit with a continuum of health services, including detox and outpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. In addition to its flagship location, the Buckley Center, where it does assessments and stabilization, Willamette Family has four outpatient clinics in Eugene, Springfield and Cottage Grove.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients in need of detox go to the Buckley Center to stabilize with full medical supervision. Medication management or Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) are also available during this phase.
Treatment plans are individualized, with separate tracks for men and women, and often including crisis counseling and case management. Programs are made up of individual and group therapy as well as educational sessions about addiction and relapse prevention. Groups cover gender-specific topics as well as grief, codependency, interpersonal relationships and parenting. The women’s program puts emphasis on trauma-informed care. Though 12-step participation is not strictly required, clients are free to attend off-site meetings as they wish. Programs have variable lengths, sometimes serving as aftercare for clients who have completed more intensive programs.
The staff at Willamette Family Inc consists of CADCs, LCSWs and additional Master’s-level therapists.
Extras
Willamette Family Inc has residential treatment programs for men and women. Additional services include DUI counseling, standalone mental health counseling for children and adults, family services, peer support and permanent housing assistance. It also offers on-site child care for kids six weeks to six years old whose parents are in treatment.
