The Basics
Warm Springs Community Counseling (WSCC) offers outpatient therapy and other services to members of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, or any person who lives on the Warm Springs Reservation. Set on the Columbia River in northwest Oregon, the Warm Springs Community Counseling Center provides substance abuse prevention, assessment and counseling services.
Treatment and Staff
The treatment program at WSCC begins with an initial evaluation to help counselors determine the level of care needed and develop an individualized treatment plan. That tailored approach determines the frequency, type and duration of treatment. Methods offered are CBT-based individual and group counseling. One-on-one sessions are scheduled independently between client and counselor, while the group sessions are held at various times throughout the week. Groups are open to children, youth and adults.
The prevention team associated with WSCC provides prevention information via educational sessions, programs, suicide prevention and mental health wellness. The counselors on staff often make referrals to those seeking treatment for co-occurring disorders outside of the reservation, or supplemental addiction help at an area inpatient program or local 12-step meetings.
The staff at WSCC consists of CADCs and LPCs.

As WSCC is only one sanction of the services offered by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, there are numerous other resources. These include education programs, housing services, public utilities, social services, youth services, senior services, employment assistance, veterans services and culture and heritage services.
