sober living in eau claire wisconsinThe Basics

Founded in 1973 by a Franciscan nun, Triniteam, Inc. is a multi-faceted non-profit organization based out of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The facility offers a range of social services including sober living homes (halfway houses and transitional housing) and adjoining outpatient programs.

Accommodations and Amenities

Triniteam has three residential co-ed facilities for clients coming out of state and county correctional programs. Its 14-bed halfway house in Eau Claire provides 24-hour supervision for residents who share double-occupancy rooms with one other client. Its two four-bed transitional living homes in Oshkosh are less restrictive, with intermittent staff checks throughout the day and while clients generally sleep two to a room, one of the homes also has a private room available.

Food service is included in the halfway house program and is served three times a day by on-site staff. Since the transitional living programs are designed to teach clients to live independently, meals are only provided for the first couple weeks, after which residents are expected to shop and cook for themselves.

Rules and Regulations

Though all housing programs provide more case management services than treatment, residents must be clean and sober to enter the any of the programs and remain abstinent during their stay. Clients are required to attend all house meetings and either pursue further education, work or volunteer (though specific court orders may vary). While attending concurrent treatment is not requited, nor is 12-step participation, residents are encouraged to attend meetings or outpatient care if that is a part of their long-term recovery plan. Clients who are uninsured may qualify for Triniteam’s outpatient program free of charge.

The clinical staff at Triniteam includes LMFTs, case managers and state-certified AOD counselors.

Extras

Triniteam offers a number of outreach services; most notably, its ongoing project in Kenya designed to provide clean water to residents. Its has also partnered with the Le Phillips Career Development Center (CDC) and other groups to help the local homeless community in Chippewa County with food, clothing, job training and temporary housing. Triniteam also has a volunteer program to help the elderly with food delivery, making doctors appointments and other tasks to improve their daily lives.

In Summary

In all, Triniteam, Inc. is somewhat unique in offering a range of outreach services in addition to residential and behavioral health programs. Though treatment is generally limited to those coming out of correctional facilities, the organization is dedicated to helping anyone who is down and out with supportive sober living environments.
