The Retreat at Zion Treatment Center
Retreat At Zion is situated in a 12,000 square foot facility on a beautiful 10 acre ranch. The two-story Spanish style home has a total capacity of 13, with three additional detox beds. In addition to a spacious floor plan and comfortable semi-private bedrooms equipped with queen-sized beds and nice furnishings, the residence also boasts comfortable common areas with flat screen TVs and wrap-around couches. Residents enjoy a modern fitness center complete with a sauna and yoga room. There is also a specialized theta therapy room and a classroom.

The Retreat at Zion Program
Before beginning treatment, incoming clients undergo a comprehensive intake assessment that helps determine the most effective personalized treatment strategy. The team customizes treatment to address the unique needs, goals and circumstances of the individual.
When necessary, clients immediately transition into detox. Retreat At Zion offers a traditional medical detox as well as a new specialized “pain free” accelerated detox. Detox typically lasts between two and five days. Upon completion, clients transfer into the residential phase. While the length of stay varies, individuals typically stay between 20 and 30 days.
While the residential program is rooted in Christian-based principles and a 12-step immersion, Retreat at Zion incorporates a range of therapeutic methods. These span holistic modalities, experiential therapy, recreation, psychoeducation and evidence-based therapies. Clients engage in individual, group and family therapy rooted in CBT, ACT and EMDR to treat trauma as a causal component of current conditions.
Retreat At Zion places a premium on adventure therapy. As such, clients enjoy hiking, climbing, walking, equine-assisted therapy and a ropes course with a climbing wall. The facility also offers a host of holistic treatments including art therapy, expressive arts, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, mindfulness meditation and yoga. Residents also have access to medical resources like chiropractic services, nutrition, blood analysis and theta therapy.
The Retreat At Zion team is comprised of Master’s-level therapists, addiction specialists, psychologists and physicians. As previously mentioned, dual diagnosis support is available.

Retreat At Zion also provides psychoeducation classes that focus on the disease of addiction, stress and anger management as well as life skills and relapse prevention techniques. For clients unable to meet in person, therapists can meet over Skype.
