The Basics
The Ranch Mississippi offers comprehensive residential programming as well as outpatient services on a step-down basis. Located just outside of Jackson, MIssissippi, the Joint Commission accredited facility provides individualized therapy solutions for clients struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders, eating disorders and co-occurring mental illnesses like anxiety, OCD and depression. The Ranch seeks to treat the root issues of conditions. To this end, the staff incorporates psychiatric services and medication management into an integrative approach that includes 12-step recovery, evidence-based methods, holistic practices, adventure therapy and specialized groups. The Ranch also has locations in Tennessee and Pennsylvania.
Treatment and Staff
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and standard outpatient care are available. The outpatient tracks are ideal for clients that either cannot commit to residential treatment, or who are transitioning back into regular life from an inpatient program. In the PHP, clients engage in therapy between 9 am to 4 pm, five days a week. For individuals that opt to live on property, nighttime activities are available. For those that live at home, the facility encourages attending a local 12-step support meeting. After completion of PHP, most clients transition into the IOP for three hours a day, three times a week. With evening scheduling, clients can easily receive treatment while remaining at home and continuing to work.
Like the residential program, PHP and IOP incorporates an array of therapies into the treatment approach. With a focus on healing the “whole person,” an individualized program is developed. Clients engage in individual psychiatric sessions in addition to individual and group therapy. Individuals participate in 12-step, relapse prevention, psychoeducation classes, recreation and adventure therapy to heal the mind, body and spirit. In addition, the staff conducts sessions with evidence-based CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and EMDR that uses eye movement stimulation to treat trauma. The facility offers specialized groups for life skills, professionals, relationships and financial assistance like budgeting and job seeking. Clients in outpatient care also continually receive drug screenings.
The Ranch Mississippi employs nurses, psychiatrists, therapists and physicians. Medication management is available for clients with co-occurring disorders.
Extras
While the facility offers flexible evening scheduling, clients in PHP and IOP can also stay in on-campus sober accommodations.
Following the completion of the IOP, clients are encouraged to participate in the free weekly aftercare group run by the alumni.
