American Fork, Clearfield and West Valley City, Utah, Suncrest Counseling is a broad behavioral health organization that provides flexible, outpatient-based counseling services to clients struggling with various mental illnesses as well as addiction. Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all participants go through an intake and assessment process to determine their needs. Detox and stabilization services are not directly available through the organization; still, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs whenever necessary.

Additional therapy methods include art therapy and play therapy, for children specifically.
While 12-step support is not required, clients can be referred to nearby meetings upon request. Similarly, though counseling could touch on multiple issues at once, such as depression and substance abuse, medical and psychiatric support for dual diagnosis issues is not included. Still, medication management services can be facilitated.
The staff at Suncrest Counseling is wide-ranging and includes nurse practitioners, LCSWs, LMFTs, LMHCs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
In addition to the more structured programs, participants can also get standalone mental health evaluations, family therapy, marriage counseling and grief counseling as well. Court-ordered clients are also welcome to attend, with specific programs for anger management, domestic violence and DUI/DWIs. In addition, more specialized therapies including neurofeedback and biofeedback are also available upon request. Once clients complete primary care, they can work with their counselors to develop step-down aftercare plans as well.
