Royal Life Centers at The Bridges Review
The outpatient treatment program at the Prescott, Arizona location of Royal Life Centers at The Bridges follows the detox and residential levels of care. There is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and a standard OP that is considered aftercare. Treatment not only addresses addiction issues but also co-occurring conditions using an individualized and holistic approach.
Treatment and Staff
The entire outpatient program is broken down into three phases that can last up to nine weeks. At the intake meeting clients discuss their personal needs with an admissions counselor. This meeting dictates the personalized treatment plan they are given. These plans include several group and one on one therapy sessions, and meetings with a psychiatrist.
The highest level of care is the PHP. This track is five days a week of up to six hours a day of treatment. While this program is usually about three weeks long, it requires the most intensive level of participation.
The IOP steps down from the PHP. This program can be either on a five or three day plan for three hours per day. The IOP continues on the both group and individual therapy, but incorporates family therapy on a regular basis as well.
Standard OP is based on the client’s availability and typically includes either a group or individual therapy session for up to 90 minutes per week. All of these levels of care in the outpatient program include medication management and dual diagnosis support.
Treatment is based on the 12-step philosophies and uses evidence-based protocols. Group therapy sessions cover topics like relapse prevention and coping skills. Common therapies utilized are CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Family Systems and DBT. Throughout every stage of the outpatient track clients are preparing to return to their communities. They learn new life skills on a daily basis and put them to use at the end of their treatment days.
The staff includes accredited addiction therapists and LMHPs.
Extras
Clients in the PHP have the option of residing at the sober living facility associated with the program.
The treatment team has begun working with Dr. Phil to offer a virtual reality program.

This outpatient program is well known for comprehensive treatment protocols, and tried and true approaches. The program is encouraging and straight forward. Clients who go through it have a good chance of living the rest of their lives in recovery due to the extended support they receive.
