The Basics
Located in Fountain Valley, California, Rising Roads Recovery is a behavioral health organization facilitating individualized treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders exclusively to women. The programs available provide a full continuum of care for women in recovery with many different modalities of treatment. In addition to its residential treatment options, Rising Roads Recovery also offers outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients must go through an assessment and intake to help staff members determine their needs. While on-site detox services are not available, referrals can be provided upon request. While IOP is available in a number of flexible arrangements, clients can typically expect to attend at least three sessions a week for three hours per session.
Though the program specifics vary, IOP consists of group, individual and family therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. Programs also rely heavily upon 12-step participation, with daily meetings and various AA principles used in the curriculum. In addition to evidence-based psychotherapy and psychoeducation, additional holistic methods are used including art therapy, body mapping, yoga, psychodrama, Somatic Experiencing and mindfulness training. Groups cover a wide range of topics including job skills, trauma processing, cooking classes, gender-specific issues and stress management. Dual diagnosis support is available along with medication management, including PTSD and eating disorders.
The staff at Rising Roads Recovery consists of LMFTs, RADTs (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technicians), nutritionists, doctors, case managers and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
As mentioned, those in need of more intensive care can attend residential treatment, which covers many of the same issues. Those who complete one of these programs can also work with staff members to develop stepped down aftercare regimens as necessary.
