The Basics
With many facilities throughout Virginia and one in Nags Head, North Carolina, Right Path Addiction Centers is a wide-ranging behavioral health organization that provides flexible outpatient-based services for clients struggling with opiate addiction. While a major fixture of the program is Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), a host of counseling services are available as well.
Treatment and Staff
All programming begins with an initial assessment process to help the staff members develop treatment plans. While MAT services are available, those in need of more intensive psychiatric aid should seek that elsewhere. Beyond the medication, clients also attend individual, group and family therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. All outpatient plans are flexible and include 12-step support. Group sessions cover a variety of topics including relapse prevention, emotional processing, trigger identification, coping skills, communication, family issues and other related topics. While some basic support for depression and anxiety may be available, those in need of more extensive dual diagnosis support may need to seek additional help elsewhere.
The staff at Right Path Addiction consists of doctors, nurses, LCSWs, LMHCs, CADCs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Beyond the core curriculum, the organization also offers special programs for smoking cessation. Art therapy groups are also used as a holistic treatment method to help clients relax and blow off stress. Once participants complete a primary care plan, they can also work with staff members to develop step-down aftercare plans whenever necessary.

In all, Right Path Addiction Centers provides flexible outpatient care with MAT support to clients struggling with substance abuse (and for opioid abuse in particular). All care plans are individualized and include medication, evidence-based therapy, 12-step support and some holistic groups as well. Throughout the program, clients learn life skills and other methods on how to avoid relapse. While anyone in need of more intensive medical supervision may need to seek additional help as well, Right Path Addictions Centers remains a strong resource to those living in Virginia and North Carolina.
