The Basics
Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Recovery in Tune provides sober living for men, as well as outpatient substance abuse and addiction treatment services. Their mission is to provide a supportive sober living community so that clients can relax and focus on their recovery.
Accommodations and Amenities
Recovery in Tune operates three houses and accommodates a total of twenty clients who are paired in double-occupancy rooms that include twin beds topped with colorful comforters, dressers and windows. The houses have comfortable living rooms furnished with couches and flat screen TVs. Amenities include laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, telephone access, cable, utilities, household supplies, sheets and linens.
Clients are responsible for their own groceries. Meals are prepared in fully equipped kitchens that have state of the art appliances and granite counters.
Rules and Regulations
At Recovery in Tune, potential clients undergo an interview. All new residents must agree participate in the outpatient program. Residents receive individualized treatment plans. Sober Living clients attend Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) from 9 am to noon, between three and five days a week. The clinician and client discuss and determine the appropriate level of care. At Recovery in Tune, evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing (MI) and a 12-step approach are utilized during treatment.
Treatment includes group and individual therapy, substance abuse education, dual diagnosis support, case management and attendance at daily 12-step meetings. Group topics include relapse prevention, trauma recovery, life skills training and spirituality. Individual therapy is once a week, and family counseling is scheduled per client’s needs.
The curfew is 11 pm Sundays through Thursdays, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Psychiatric referrals are provided, for those requiring medication management. At Recovery in Tune, clients pay for housing out of pocket, while insurance typically covers outpatient care. Private pay costs vary.
Extras
Weekly aftercare includes one individual therapy and one group session, and continued attendance at 12-step meetings.
At Recovery in Tune, alternative and holistic therapies, including meditation, yoga, art therapy, music therapy and dancing mindfulness are used during treatment.
At Recovery in Tune, clients participate in many recreational activities on weekends, including bowling, and beach excursions.

Recovery in Tune is a step above a traditional sober living. It is a great option for men who are committed to ongoing treatment and truly want a holistic approach to their recovery, and who just want to focus on healing from chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders.
