The Basics
Recovery Systems PC is a substance abuse treatment facility that uses evidence-based methods to treat the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of chemical dependency. Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the facility offers not only the stunning beauty of the neighboring Rocky Mountains but three different outpatient tracks with an emphasis on the 12 steps.
Treatment and Staff
Recovery Systems PC only offers outpatient care, but provides three different intensities depending on the client’s needs. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) entails nine hours of treatment per week, the extensive outpatient program meets for five hours a week and the traditional outpatient track consists of three hours of treatment per week.
Treatment at Recovery Systems PC begins with a seven-hour introduction to the 12 steps. These hours do not count towards the weekly requirement of treatment hours for any of the tracks. The staff also monitors weekly attendance of 12-step meetings and makes sure everyone acquires a sponsor. Treatment then continues with group and individual therapy, anger management, emotional intelligence skills, strategies for self-improvement, codependency and addiction education, family sessions and relapse prevention.
The treatment methodologies at Recovery Systems PC are based on the Matrix Model of treatment, with a staff that consists of LPCs, LSWs and LCDCs.
Extras
In addition to its outpatient programs, Recovery Systems PC also provides PartySoberColorado. PartySoberColorado promotes and sponsors alcohol and substance-free parties, recreational activities, sports, games and social events. Through a range of educational series, advertisements and community outreach events, PartySoberColorado aims to reach teens and young adults that drugs and alcohol aren’t necessary to have fun or be social.

Recovery Systems PC’s three-tiered outpatient options and involvement in the local community make it a good choice for recovery. Through the use of the 12-steps and the Matrix Model, clients are able to receive structured care catered to whatever stage of recovery they are in. While those in need of more intensive programs may need to look elsewhere, Recovery Systems PC is still a worthy choice for those in the area.
