The Basics

IOP meets a minimum of three times a week for three hours per session whereas PHP is akin to the intensity of an inpatient program.
In all programming, treatment consists of individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. Dual diagnosis support and medication management are both available as well. In addition to its clinical approaches, the organization also uses holistic methods including art therapy, yoga and mindfulness training. Regular 12-step participation is also required throughout the program. Though the specifics may vary, groups often cover topics including trigger identification, relapse prevention, anger management, life skills and trauma processing.
The staff at the Recovery Institute of South Florida consists of psychologists, psychiatrists, RNs, LMFTs, case managers, a pastor and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
