Based in Braunwald, Switzerland, Recore is a luxury residential treatment facility that provides individualized care for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Residents attending the program have all of their needs catered to with treatment drawing from a range of different disciplines. Accommodations and Food
As an exclusive and private rehab, Recore keeps some of the details on its accommodations private and on a need-to-know basis. Still, it does offer multiple housing locations with low client rolls with campuses in Zurich and Braunwald. The housing in Zurich consists of a compound of lakeside luxury apartments and villa with modern interiors, spacious floor plans and all the normal amenities of home. The Braundwald location has a handful of luxury mountain chalets, each reserved for one resident at a time.
In either location, all clients can expect to have their own rooms with king-sized beds, nightstands, lamps, dressers, closet space and ensuite bathrooms. The chalets are also surrounded by plenty of beautiful scenery of the Swiss Alps whereas the Zurich apartments and villa have a view of the lake. In both locations, residents are served all meals and snacks through the aid of on-staff chefs who can accommodate any meal plan.
Treatment and Staff
Before treatment begins, all clients go through a thorough intake and assessment process to help the staff members determine their treatment history and their needs. Those in need of medical detox can do so on-site with medical and psychiatric oversight. Once stabilized, all residents begin a multi-faceted care plan catered to their needs, which focuses heavily on individual therapy along with some small group sessions. Basic evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT are used in conjunction with alternative and medical therapies like biofeedback, neurofeedback, somatic experiencing, EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), hypnosis and mindfulness training.
Additional medical-based therapies include Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Heart Rate Variability (HRV) testing and Alpha Stim sessions as well. Though it may go without saying, dual diagnosis support and medication management services are also available. Though the program is typically not 12-step based, those who wish to attend meetings can do so.
The staff at Recore consists of doctors, psychiatrists, nutritionists, life coaches, personal trainers and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
The facility also shines in its holistic approaches which are also extensive. Throughout the program, clients can attend some combination of acupuncture, art therapy, equine therapy, brain training, music therapy, massage, yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi, Shiatsu and spiritual counseling
Other services at Recore include family therapy as needed as well as flexible, 24-hour concierge services to cater to residents’ every need. Each client also has a private equipe service, meaning their own discreet transportation to take them wherever they need to go. In fact, all clients get many other individual team members as well including private chefs, case managers and more. All programs are flexible. Once residents complete primary care, they can also work with staff members to develop stepped down aftercare plans as necessary.

Overall, Recore is a facility with fully individualized luxury programs and high-end amenities. Treatment plans truly run the gamut when it comes to treatment modalities, with a comprehensive non-12-step approach that includes psychiatric and medical oversight. In addition to the clinical approaches, the facility also has plenty of holistic and experiential therapies to supplement each client’s recovery. Those willing to pay a relatively high cost can certainly experience a comprehensive and wide-ranging program that covers all bases.
