The Basics

Treatment and Staff
Raab treats clients with a range of mental illnesses and issues such as anger, stress, suicidal thoughts and family concerns. Before beginning treatment, clients are encouraged to take advantage of a no-charge 15 minute phone consultation with Raab, in order to get a feel for how therapy works. During the first session, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment that includes a personal history and current circumstances. From this evaluation, Raab determines the most effective strategy for treatment for the client.
The facility provides individual, group and family therapy. Through therapy, Raab seeks to not only provide clients with the best possible support and understanding, but to teach practical, effective coping strategies that can be immediately implemented to solve issues. In addition, Raab offers a specialized form of therapy for young clients that have acted out sexually. Offense-specific treatment includes several methods including individual and family sessions as well as informed supervision to hold the juvenile accountable and minimize deviant behaviors. The length of treatment can range from a couple of sessions to a longer period of time depending on the unique needs of the client.
Neither the 12-step recovery model nor medication management are components of the programming. Raab is open during normal office hours, and does not offer emergency hours.
Raab Counseling and Consulting Services is the private practice of Bethany Raab. Raab is a Master’s-level therapist as well as a treatment provider for juveniles that have committed sexual offenses.
