The men’s facility is located in Conway, Arkansas. This option offers 14 duplexes in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood. The women’s housing in Little Rock is comprised of 18 apartments in a secure area of town.
Both the men’s and women’s facilities provide fully furnished units with two bedrooms. Each of these units maxes out at four clients per apartment. They each have a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living with TV and included cable. The housing is close to AA meetings, shopping, public transportation, employment opportunities and recreation.
In addition to the furnishings, the facility provides items like toilet paper, towels, paper towels, linens, bedding and cleaning supplies.
There is a staff member on site 24 hours a day. Clients have phone access and a laundry room readily available to them. Additionally, staff provide transportation to things like doctors appointments, interviews, meetings and more for a minimal extra fee.
Rules and Regulations
Clients must attend at least six 12-step meetings every week if they are not working full time. If they are working, they must attend three per week. Conveniently enough, a handful of these meetings are on site. There are also mandatory house meetings at the facilities every week.
Three weeks after clients have moved in and gotten settled they need to have a job. To expedite this, Phoenix Recovery has an employment center that provides access to computers, potential employer information, and resume building assistance.
On the same day as move in clients undergo a drug test. They can also expect random UAs and breathalyzers.
Finally, in addition to employment and recovery support, there is spiritual support in an individual setting for clients who are interested.
Extras
Phoenix Recovery Center also runs a home for men who have recently been released from incarceration known as Returning Home. This program focuses on re-entry, life skills and vocational training.
