Palladium Private Review
Palladium Private is a full immersion program for adults struggling with addiction or mental health concerns, like depression, anxiety and PTSD. Based in Australia, Palladium Private has been servicing individuals since 2003. Its location is a unique rural, retreat setting that offers luxury accommodations and holistic treatment experiences.
Accommodations and Food
The campus houses up to 15 clients, all of whom sleep in private rooms. There is a total of nine cabins, all situated on 20 acres of land.
The main facility is a restored farmhouse surrounded by a lake. Several native wildlife creatures occupy the area including the platypus, kookaburras, wild geese and turtles. The grounds boast a state-of-the-art gym, sauna, two huge pools and cozy common areas. There is internet access in the building, but clients have to get prior approval before using it.
A house staff prepares all meals. Clients eat on site in a shared dining room. The food is delicious, healthy and nutritionally sound.
Treatment and Staff
The average length of time in treatment is two to five weeks. Every client has a personalized treatment schedule that caters to their specific needs. Residents participate in private and group therapy along with mindfulness teachings, socializing skills sessions, art and music therapy and physical activities. Programming emphasizes holistic and therapeutic healing. There is also a daily communication group along with relapse prevention meetings.
The staff utilizes a series of evidence-based approaches throughout the program at Palladium Private. This includes CBT, Gestalt, DBT, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and hypnotherapy.
Staff includes psychotherapists, psychologists, massage therapists and yoga teachers. There is also the head chef who creates all the incredible meals.
Extras
There are daily meditation and yoga practice sessions, morning walks, and weekend off-site activities and outings. Clients can also expect a detox box, heated magnesium spring water pool, a campus garden and fruit picking. The campus features an area with games, arts and crafts, puzzles and more.
In addition to individual approaches, this program also employs the Cape Cod model for couples.
In Summary
Palladium Private takes men and women out of their everyday lives and gives them a remote space to start to address their substance abuse issues. The co-occurring disorder treatment is very thorough as well. It’s a safe place and a supportive community. And thanks to the truly customized programming, clients do receive the exact care that they need.
