The Basics
Based in Wooster, Ohio, OneEighty (formally known as STEPS at Liberty Center) is an expansive behavioral health organization that provides a number of treatment programs to men and women struggling with substance abuse. Aside from its more thorough residential treatment programs, it also has several sober living homes where clients can stay for extended periods.
Accommodations and Amenities
Brian’s House, Miss Peg’s House, Stephen’s House, Millersberg House and Serenity House are the five transitional care facilities offered by OneEighty. While most are gender-specific to men, Miss Peg’s provides an all-female program. Each location is a standard residential home that can accommodate three to five residents. All are equipped with on-site laundry and common areas with TV. Residents are expected to prepare and cook their own meals.
Rules and Regulations
Generally speaking, residents are required to attend regular 12-step meetings, secure employment, do volunteer work or pursue further education. All clients must commit to regular and random drug testing and follow each house’s behavioral contract. Residents are expected to take care of the common areas and participate in basic chores around the house.
Extras
Aside from sober living facilities, OneEighty also provides men’s and women’s residential treatment programs for those in need of primary care. Other services include a 72-hour DUI program, parenting classes and additional community outreach programs.
