Oceanside Psychology Clinic in Beverly Hills, California, is an outpatient treatment facility that offers evidence-based approaches to treat addiction and co-occurring disorders. It was founded by Dr. Uvi Natha, a Harbor UCLA Medical Center trained addiction specialist who offers personalized care to individuals, couples and families who are dealing with a chemical dependency or dual diagnosis and need extensive support. The programs at Oceanside include group and individual counseling and treatment that is therapy based rather than 12-step based. All programming is individualized and comprehensive, addressing each client’s specific needs and goals.
Treatment and Staff
Incoming clients have an in-depth assessment process that takes time to learn about their clinical history and substance use. This helps formulate a treatment and goal plan in which the client and therapist work together to achieve long term success. The programs at Oceanside are mainly group therapy based, with clients attending up to three times per week, with one individual session integrated into treatment on a weekly basis.
Evidence-based approaches are utilized in addition to SMART Recovery. This facility offers a wide array of treatment methods including CBT, DBT, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and trauma treatments, like prolonged exposure therapy. Mindfulness approaches, relapse prevention and life skills training are also essential elements of treatment.
There is no set amount if time clients should expect to be in treatment at Oceanside. Each program goes for as long as it takes for the client to feel that they have achieved their recovery goals. Programming is flexible time wise to accommodate clients work and home lives. Though this facility doesn’t offer medication management for dual diagnosis support, staff is able to provide professional consultation with outside agencies or providers, like a psychiatrist, or sober living facility, as an added element to treatment.
The clinical staff consists of Dr. Natha herself along with Masters-level psychological assistants who are LCSW, and MFT.
Aftercare counseling programs include group or individual therapy sessions. For California residents there are options for online therapy sessions as well.
This treatment facility is ideal for those who have either come out of a residential or IOP and need some added support in recovery, or for those who are concerned about a potential problem and are looking for guidance. In either case, this facility offers thorough care.
