Located in Doha, Qatar, Naufar is a CARF-accredited, cutting-edge medical and behavioral health facility. It offers a wide range of boutique treatment programs that focus on general wellness and holistic medicine. The organization is relatively new and brings many different disciplines together under one roof. Naufar boasts a multi-faceted medical and psychiatric staff. While the organization provides more flexible outpatient options, it also has individualized residential treatment.
Accommodations and Food
The Naufar facility is a sprawling complex in Doha with a total of 127 residential rooms, both shared and private. Though the living quarters are relatively clinical, each room comes with comfortable beds, basic decor and ample storage.
Naufar also features more than 50 individual and group therapy rooms as well as a spa, a gym, restaurants, a café, conference rooms and shared common areas. Throughout their stay, the residents eat three meals a day through the cafeteria. They can also eat from the other on-site food establishments.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, residents go through an initial health and behavioral assessment to help the clinicians determine their needs. As a full medical facility, on-site detox services are available as needed. Once stabilized, clients attend individualized care plans that feature dual diagnosis care and medication management. The treatment team also incorporates individual and group therapy based in evidence-based treatment practices like CBT and DBT. This is in addition to a holistic health plan with dietary counseling, mindfulness training and meditation.
As a boutique program, participants can work with physicians and other aides to essentially choose the precise plan they want. Coordination with additional outside medical professionals is also an option. Although 12-step participation can be included in these programs as necessary, it is not strictly required.
The staff at Naufar consists of doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and additional Master’s and PhD-level counselors.
As an added bonus, the Naufar facility also has a ROPES Course. In addition to its programs for addiction, lifestyle intervention therapies are also available for those with chronic sleep issues. Smoking cessation programs are also an option. Finally, those who complete treatment can also work with staff to develop step-down aftercare and discharge plans.
Though it is a relatively new organization, Naufar is a highly customizable care plan with strong medical and psychiatric components. All treatment regimens are individualized and generally include evidence-based therapy, holistic care and medical supervision. While a variety of programs are available to clients struggling with addiction, treatment for other medical and behavioral health issues are also provided. The cost of these programs is likely to vary widely depending on insurance and care specifics but regardless, Naufar’s residential programs are a strong option for those in the area.
