The Basics
Located in Atlantic Highlands in New Jersey, Milestone Group LLC is a behavioral health facility founded by James Genovese, a mental health professional with a background in working with non-profit groups. Treatment and Staff
Each client undergoes an initial assessment, after which Genovese helps to develop an individualized treatment plan. Though group therapy is available for a variety of ancillary issues, primary addiction treatment is in the form of individual therapy using CBT, EMDR and 12 step principles. Groups generally consist of no more than 12 clients at a time. Couples and family therapy can also be added to any program if needed. Each session ranges from 45- to 90-minutes depending on which methods are being used.
Staff is limited to Genovese, who is a credentialed CADC and LPC and trained in all the above modalities.
Extras
Genovese specializes in treating veterans, first-responders and whistle-blowers with PTSD. Groups for sexual trauma, anxiety, anger management, occupational stresses, depression and other related issues are also offered. Milestone Group LLC also provides court-ordered treatment for DUI/DWIs.
