The Basics
Lyfe Recovery Sober Living has been in operation for one year and operates a number of mid-range sober living homes throughout Nevada. Most homes are co-ed; however, there are also all-female and all-male homes in the Reno/Sparks area. Lyfe Recovery’s house managers take an active role in guiding and supporting residents, and many of its clients reside in the homes while attending local Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Accommodations and Amenities
Lyfe’s residences are newly-renovated suburban homes conveniently located near shopping, public transportation and employment opportunities. Most homes have 12 residents and bedrooms usually have two or three residents each. The homes feature traditional decor, smart TVs and ample outdoor space for recreation. Residents have kitchen space for their food supplies and the house maintains a coffee service throughout the day. Each house has laundry facilities and free laundry supplies.
Rules and Regulations
During their first 30 days in the residence, clients adhere to a 9 pm curfew seven days a week. After 30 days, the curfew is 10:30 pm. Clients are required to attend a minimum of five treatment activities each week. These can include peer support meetings such as 12-step or SMART Recovery, attendance at group therapy in an outpatient program, or individual counseling.
Each residence holds four house meetings each week for residents to air their concerns and offer each other support. Residents participate in a deep clean of the house each Sunday.
Extras
Clients often plan communal activities such as potlucks and barbecues. House managers help clients locate additional support services, such as vocational training and therapy.
