The Basics
Based out of Chicago, Illinois, Living Trees Center, Inc. is a small outpatient facility that provides treatment for addiction tailored to court-ordered clients, primarily those with DUI/DWIs. Programs are offered in a range of intensities with additional standalone assessment services.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members develop their individualized treatment plans. Detox services are not offered on-site though clients can get referrals as necessary. Programs are offered in moderate, significant and high risk intensities consisting of 12, 20 and 75 hours of treatment, respectively. Moderate and significant programs also include 10 hours of risk education while all three also include aftercare.
In all of the above programs, clients attend both individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices, such as CBT. Group topics include 12-step recovery concepts, relapse education, addiction as a disease, coping skills and anger management. Dual diagnosis support is not available.
The staff at Living Trees Center Inc consists of Master’s-level, state-certified drug and alcohol counselors.
Extras
In addition to the above, the facility also provides standalone drug and alcohol assessments and drug testing services. As an added bonus, the entire staff is bilingual and can provide therapy in Spanish as necessary.

In all, Living Trees Center, Inc. provides basic outpatient treatment to a range of court-ordered clientele. Programs are available in several different intensities and include evidence-based case, 12-step support and aftercare services. While the organization is somewhat of a niche option, Living Trees Center, Inc. remains a strong resource for those in the area.
