Lincoln House Men’s Community Residence is a sober living facility for men in Syracuse, New York. Accommodations and Amenities
Accommodations at the Lincoln House are a transformed apartment complex, housing up to 30 residents at a time in single rooms. The facility is equipped with an on-site gym complete with free weights, yoga balls and a treadmill. Other amenities include on-site laundry, a media room with stadium-style leather chairs and couches, spacious living rooms with large screen TVs and computer desks. Though rooms are relatively private, the facility has supervisory staff on-site around the clock. Residents are served three meals a day by an on-staff cook.
Rules and Regulations
Residents must be 18 years or older, have a serious substance abuse disorder, be in an unfit or unsafe environment for sobriety and in need of outpatient or case management services. They must also be willing to participate in all required community forums and life skills groups. Clients are encouraged to attend 12-step groups if they wish though they are not required to.
Each client is assigned a primary counselor who works with them on issues like changing criminal thinking, nutritional counseling, stress management, fitness, vocational programs, deescalation and other recovery-related topics. The program includes group and individual therapy. Residents typically stay for four to eight months.
The staff at Lincoln House includes CASACs, CASAC-Trainees, counselor aides, a resident manager, a cook and a program director.
Extras
Syracuse Behavioral Health also offers detox, residential treatment, outpatient programs and other sober living programs at various locations. A company-owned vehicle is available on-site to take clients to medical appointments or job sites as needed.
