The Basics
Based out of Pontiac, Illinois, the Institute for Human Resources is a multi-faceted outpatient treatment organization that provides affordable programs to the community. Treatment and Staff
All clients seeking support for substance abuse undergo an initial assessment to determine whether a basic outpatient track, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or DUI classes best suits their needs. All options are open to both adults and adolescents. Though each track is individualized and varies depending on each client’s unique needs, all programs combine individual and group therapy using a mix of CBT and traditional talk therapy. AA/NA meetings are recommended for all clients but not required. Those with mild co-occurring disorders can get treatment here with the psychiatric staff.
Staff is made up of CADCs, LCSWs, LPCs, psychiatrists, nurses and Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Standalone mental health counseling is available for adults, children and families. Sessions cover issues such as anxiety and depression as well as life transitions like divorce and other family challenges.
Additionally, psycho-social rehab is available for those dealing with more severe mental health issues with special sessions that focus on life skills. Case management services are also provided. For residential psychiatric care, a discreet supported living facility is available for clients transitioning back into society.
Institute for Human Resources also offers a 26-session domestic violence program, as well as parenting classes, psychological screenings for adolescents and mediation services for child custody battles.
