Hot Springs County Counseling Review
Located in Thermopolis, Wyoming, Hot Springs County Counseling (HSCSS) is a CARF-accredited substance abuse and mental health outpatient treatment facility. Operational for more than three decades, the program is supported by a staff of addiction and mental health professionals who continue to serve this small community along Bighorn River. Treatment is open to men and women of all ages.
Treatment and Staff
Clients undergo substance abuse evaluations and clinical assessments prior to beginning treatment. Once a treatment plan is devised, clients work one-on-one with case managers to keep them on track. Though detox is not offered on-site, medication management is available to those who qualify.
Treatment is offered within the structure of group and individual therapy using evidence-based methods such as CBT, EMDR and Theraplay. An anger rehabilitation group is also offered. Though more traditional 12-step recovery is not part of the program at HSCSS, clients are encouraged to attend outside meetings if they wish and referrals for local AA/NA and Alanon groups are available.
Staff consists of LPCs, APRNs, RNs and Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Couples and family counseling are available upon request.
HSCSS accepts Medicaid, military and state insurance. For the uninsured, treatment is available on a sliding scale basis.
In Summary
Hot Springs County Counseling brings solid, evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment to a small community in need. With an ability to work with clients suffering from addiction as well as mental illness, the program helps addicts and families gain skills to support lasting recovery for the whole family system.
