Hearthstone Fellowship Foundation Review
Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, Hearthstone Fellowship Foundation offers outpatient substance abuse treatment. The program is split into three phases—Intensive Outpatient (IOP), outpatient and education. Through therapy and the 12 steps, clients struggling with addiction can process emotions and learn new coping skills. Thanks to a sliding scale fee, treatment at Hearthstone is available to everyone.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment begins with an intake evaluation used to determine which level of care is needed. Dual diagnosis support, along with medication management, is available. Those who need detox or inpatient treatment will be offered referrals to other facilities. Clients admitted to Hearthstone can begin with IOP and then step down into outpatient, followed by education.
The 12-week IOP program meets three times a week, for three hours at a time. Treatment consists of both individual and group therapy. Individual sessions with counselors take place once a week. Groups consist of 12-step education, in addition to covering topics such as coping skills, stress management, anger management and relapse prevention. Groups are typically kept small, serving between 10 and 15 clients at a time.
Once IOP has been completed, clients can step down into the outpatient program, which meets twice a week, for two hours at a time. Clients carry on with individual and group therapy, covering similar topics, while also attending required weekly AA/NA meetings outside of treatment. From here, they can step down into the education portion. This final level of outpatient treatment meets once a week for an hour-and-a-half. This lecture series educates the clients on 12 step philosophies, relapse prevention and coping skills.
Staff members include CADCs, a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a physician.

This organization offers referrals to local sober living facilities for both men and women so clients can transition back into everyday life.
