Gracious Care Recovery Solutions Outpatient Review
Founded in 2013 by husband and wife Mike and Marisa Way in the Boca Raton suburb of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Gracious Care Recovery Solutions started as a sober living home for women. The facility has since expanded to provide co-ed faith-based outpatient substance abuse treatment. Treatment includes a basic outpatient program, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and aftercare. Clients have the option of living at one of the sober living homes while undergoing treatment. Dual diagnosis support is also provided for those with co-occurring disorders.
Treatment and Staff
Prior to admission, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment. After intake, clients work with a therapist to establish individualized treatment plans. At Gracious Care Recovery Solutions, detox is not available on-site, but referrals to licensed detox facilities nearby are provided.
PHP treatment length is four weeks. On a weekly basis, PHP is a 24-hour commitment, IOP is nine hours and outpatient is three or four. Each track consists of group and individual therapy, substance abuse education classes and family therapy. Group topics include Big Book and 12-step studies, relapse prevention, life skills, anger management, decision-making, relationship skills and spirituality. Clients are assigned to a primary therapist whom they see, based on their individual needs.
Gracious Recovery Solutions utilizes evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, CBT, as well as experiential therapies during treatment. Experiential therapy includes spiritual meditation, massage therapy, art therapy, yoga and exercise. Clients are encouraged to participate in family therapy, and Bible Counseling, as well as attend off-site 12-step or Celebrate Recovery meetings.
Staff includes a psychiatrist, a medical doctor, Master’s-level therapists, case managers and certified support staff. A staff psychiatrist is available for consultations, provides medication management for clients with co-occurring disorders.
Extras
Aftercare is provided in the form of the facility’s alumni program meets on a monthly basis at recovery events and special outings. The alumni program provides peer support, and keeps former clients plugged into the community.
All clients have the option of living in a sober living home or at their own residence. The sober living program offers a 30 to 90, or six-month stay. Clients attend 12-step meetings, participate in Bible study and attend Church.
The Daily Reprieve, a Christian and Recovery bookstore, is located downstairs from the facility’s clinical offices.
