Fieldview at Holland Overview
Fieldview at Holland is a luxury 64-bed residential and outpatient treatment facility in Wichita, Kansas. Clients live in a safe and upscale community while undergoing evidence-based and trauma responsive care. During treatment clients can expect group and individual therapy, valuable life skills training and psychoeducation. They can also anticipate learning more about how to care for themselves in recovery. Fieldview at Holland opened its doors in 2017 because there was a serious lack of high level addiction and mental health care services in the area.
Accommodations and Food
Fieldview’s current five house campus is situated in a gated, private neighborhood in a former luxury retirement community that was only in use for about three years. The beautiful, self contained facility has everything clients could possibly need without every having the leave the campus. There is a clubhouse and restaurant on site, medical offices and therapy rooms. Clients also enjoy a communal kitchen, a dining and snack room with a drink station, and a business center.
All of the units have small kitchens as well, along with living rooms, TVs, and bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
Fieldview at Holland does not allow clients to have their own cars or any personal devices, like phones or tablets. However, they are allowed to smoke in designated areas around the facility.
All clients dine together and enjoy food that a staff dietary manager prepares. The meal options are healthy and well balanced, with the intention of fueling clients with the proper nutrients to help them through the initial stages of recovery.
Treatment and Staff
The medical staff monitors clients in detox around the clock. A board certified addiction specialist prescribes all medication. The medication helps ease the pain of withdrawal, and if necessary, can be followed up with maintenance medication like Suboxone.
The residential phase of treatment entails a structured day of group or individual sessions and therapeutic activities. This includes 12-step meetings, nutrition classes, meditation and exercise. Clients have a personalized treatment plan and daily schedule.
Treatment approaches includes EMDR, CBT, DBT, Sand Tray Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Clients work on their coping skills, communication and anger management on a daily basis. The campus life and schedules encourages socialization and camaraderie within the supportive community.
The treatment team consists of medical doctors, psychiatric nurses, LCAC, LPC, LMFT, LMAC and SAC.

In terms of holistic treatment, clients have options to participate in yoga and art therapy.

Fieldview at Holland has a beautiful campus and a very self contained treatment program that provides all the bells and whistles. Every level of addiction treatment is available at this facility, along with step-down services. Above all, clients have the benefit of being able to live in houses that are practically brand new, and be a part of a treatment program that is much needed in Wichita.
