Clients engage in individual and group therapy sessions rooted in CBT, DBT and EMDR to treat trauma as a cause of current conditions. Therapists also use exposure therapy to help clients overcome anxiety. Psychoeducation classes cover important topics like nutrition and the disease of addiction as well as stress and anger management. Denver Recovery understands the value of family involvement in the success of a sustainable recovery. To this end, the facility provides educational programs as well as family therapy to improve communication, understanding and foster growth. Clients also participate in regular 12-step meetings.
The multidisciplinary team is made up of addiction specialists, mental health counselors, therapists and a physician. Medication management is offered for individuals in need of dual diagnosis support.
