Crossroads Agency Review
Based out of Springfield, Massachusetts, Crossroads Agency offers basic outpatient treatment and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for drug and alcohol addiction and mental illness. Programs are available for both adolescents and adults. Several locations are available throughout the state, making access to treatment flexible and convenient. All clients are given individualized treatment plans that address their unique recovery needs.
Treatment and Staff
After an initial intake assessment, clients work with staff to design a treatment plan that works with their schedule. Facilities are open from 9 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday. The IOP track, also known as day treatment, generally meets five times a week for three-and-a-half hours in a group therapy setting. These sessions act as educational, life-skills and stress management workshops. Clients also have individual therapy once a week where evidence-based modalities including CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are used.
Though 12-step participation is not required, clients are encouraged to attend off-site meetings if they desire. While the basic outpatient track incorporates many of the same methods as the IOP, there is more scheduling flexibility and a less intensive commitment.
Basic interventions, medication management and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) by way of Suboxone and Vivitrol and support for mild co-occurring disorders are also offered.
Staff consists of LCSWs, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Additional services include Spanish language and impaired hearing support. Clients can also receive general health counseling as a standalone service if needed.
