Clermont Recovery Center Review
For over 30 years, Clermont Recovery Center has provided outpatient care for adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Located in the Cincinnati suburb of Batavia, Ohio, Clermont is a non-profit and nationally accredited facility.
Treatment and Staff
Clients at Clermont receive an initial 30 minute intake interview over the phone. During this time, an intake coordinator asks questions to help gain an understanding of each client’s situation. This conversation is followed by a two-hour in-person evaluation. These evaluations are performed by a counselor, after which treatment plans can be developed.
Clients can be assigned to the traditional outpatient or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Both also provide dual diagnosis support for those with co-occurring disorders, where clients meet individually with counselors and receive psychiatric medication management. Group therapy is the primary method of treatment, with topics including relapse prevention, education and life skills. LADCs facilitate all sessions. While the intensity and length of programs depends on the individual, clients attend sessions between one and five times a week for up to three hours at a time.
For adolescents, treatment options begin with education both for parents and teens in treatment. Intervention programs that involve the whole family can be introduced. Comprehensive physical and psychological assessments are provided through the facility, after which clients receive individualized treatment plans. These consist primarily of day treatment where clients attend group and individual counseling sessions before or after school-hours. The facility also works together with the Clermont County Adolescent Drug Court to assist clients with therapeutic alternatives to detention.
Extras
Driver intervention and remedial services for those charged with a DUI are provided in English and Spanish. Intervention services for adults include a Personal Responsibility and Values Education and Training program (PREVENT), as well as a substance abuse risk-reduction program. These services include educational courses as well as individual counseling.
A variety of prevention and community services are offered including programs for children of substance abusers, tobacco prevention through school-based programs, adult education groups for friends and family of substance abusers and women’s outreach programs linking women to treatment and other services.

Clients are asked to prove household income as all services are provided on a sliding fee scale. In all, Clermont Recovery Center offers basic dual-diagnosis support at an affordable price.
