While 12-step participation is not required, those who complete the program can get referrals to nearby peer support groups as necessary.
The staff at Center for Discovery McLean consists of Certified Eating Disorder Specialists (CEDS), dietitians, LMFTs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

Other services include holistic approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, art therapy, yoga, Zumba classes, nature hikes and mindfulness training. The organization also has its own mobile app to help clients track their meals, set food goals and learn dietary information.
