Bloom Recovery Review
Bloom Recovery is an upscale co-ed sober living in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. Its goal is to provide a safe, comfortable transitional step between primary care and life in recovery. It offers a luxurious environment, but with plenty of structure and discipline. Clients are assisted in developing an individualized recovery plan that includes an emphasis on rest, nutrition and mindful goal setting based on what has and hasn’t worked for clients in the past.
Accommodations and Amenities
Bloom Recovery is a huge house located on the same hill as the Hollywood sign. The gated exterior includes trees, shrubbery and a spacious backyard with a pool. The interior boasts tiled floors and contemporary furnishings. Bloom Recovery accommodates about eight clients, who have the option for double or private suites, which include full sized beds, spacious closets, hanging artwork, night stands and lamps. Amenities include maid service, Wi-Fi, cable TV and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas only.
The lovely, fully equipped kitchen includes the services of a private chef. Continental breakfasts and deli lunches are served daily, with gourmet dinners designed to suit clients’ dietary needs. Barbecues and dinners out are also offered so that residents can build camaraderie. The home is staffed 24 hours a day to provide support and guidance.
Rules and Regulations
Potential clients undergo an initial interview to ensure that Bloom Recovery is a good fit. Typically, residents arrive at Bloom Recovery after completing a residential treatment program, but others are accepted on a case-by-case basis. All new clients must have undergone detox. Clients are provided with transportation to daily 12-step meetings and must attend house meetings twice a day. They are encouraged to look for work, volunteer, attend an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or go to school. The curfew is 11 pm Sundays through Thursdays, and 12 am on weekends.
Bloom Recovery is a zero tolerance residence. Random drug and alcohol screenings are conducted, as well as twice-daily breathalyzers. Depending on the situation, residents who relapse go to a detox facility and stay there until they test clean before returning to the house or they are evicted, and are not allowed to return until they pass an alcohol and drug screening.

Bloom Recovery offers a gym membership for every resident and transportation to the gym, as well as guided meditation and yoga on-site. Referrals to therapists, doctors, lawyers and other continuing care providers are also provided.
