Bisous Haven Sober Living Review
Bisous Haven is a sober living facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. It offers a safe and secure environment for women who are new to recovering from drugs and alcohol. With daily structure and accountability in a substance-free environment, clients slowly begin to acclimate back into their communities. It’s worth noting, this is a transitional living home based on the principles of 12-step recovery.
Accommodations and Amenities
Bisous Haven’s residential facility is a four bedroom, single family home that accommodates up to eight clients. The women sleep in bunk beds in spacious bedrooms that are also furnished with dressers. There are two full bathrooms with granite countertops. Residents enjoy a comfortable living room with couches and TV. The large, modern kitchen has new appliances.
The large backyard has a well maintained lawn with tall, lush trees and a deck.
Rules and Regulations
Bisous Haven is referred to as an “all the way” house. In order to remain in the program the clients have to fully commit to their recovery. Consequently, there are random drug screenings every week. If any of the women fail the tests they are immediately discharged from the house.
This program is open to clients who have recently completed a treatment program and are sober. Clients also have to be active members of the 12-step community, and have a sponsor. There is a list of assigned chores that clients must complete in a timely fashion. Attendance at the weekly house meeting is mandatory and there is a curfew every night.
Within a couple week of moving into the house clients have to either get a job or volunteer for 32 hours per week. There are some restrictions on how late clients can work as well.
Extras
Bisous Haven not only helps humans but is also dedicated to helping animals. There is a rescued house dog that clients take turns walking and caring for during their stay.

Bisous Haven is not only a safe place for women in the early stages of recovery to live, it is also an uplifting environment that encourages clients to take healthy strides in their lives. There is definitely a structure and expectations for the clients, which ultimately helps them grow and flourish. This is a great first step women who have struggled in the past with addiction.
