San Diego based APEX Recovery Rehab offers individualized outpatient care with evidence-based treatment approaches and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) on a step-down basis. Treatment and Staff
Often times incoming clientele have been recently discharged from APEX’s residential treatment program and are maintaining a regular schedule of therapy in the earlier stages of their sobriety. Regardless of whether the incoming clients had previously taken part in an inpatient program, there is an initial assessment process that every individual undergoes in order to develop their individualized treatment plan. The IOP consists of three-hour group sessions, three times a week. There is also an individual session in addition to the group hours. The groups are kept small in number to assure personalized attention and address recovery needs like relapse prevention, coping skills and reconnecting with loved ones.
There are a variety of treatment options and methods offered at APEX from more traditional approaches, like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), EMDR, Stages of Change and trauma-informed care, to holistic methods like art and music therapy, meditation, yoga and movement therapy. For those with co-occurring disorders, there are medication management options and therapy specifically for depression, bipolar disorder and other psychiatric issues. Therapists also work with their clients to design an aftercare plan that includes nutritional counseling and regular exercise. There are also AA and NA meetings and outside support community resources provided by the staff.
The large team at APEX Recovery Rehab includes clinical and medical staff who bring many years of experience working in the recovery field. This includes psychiatrists, medical doctors and nurses, CADCs, MFTs and nutritionists.
