Advanced Mental Health Center Review
Advanced Mental Health Center is a multi-faceted behavioral health facility that offers flexible treatment and counseling for a range of mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. The organization is the private practice of Dr. Farzaneh Ehsan, a psychologist who specializes in treating depression and bipolar disorders. All programs are outpatient-based and can be individualized to suit a wide range of needs.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning counseling, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help Ehsan determine their needs. Detox services are not available though referrals can be made as necessary. Once stabilized, clients begin a regiment of individual therapy that draws upon evidence-based treatment practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Therapy also draws on a range of philosophical approaches including attachment-based, emotionally-focused and solution-focused counseling. Other methods include Somatic Experiencing and Neurofeedback whenever necessary. Some dual diagnosis support may be available though the program is non-medical and non-psychiatric. Similarly, 12-step is not required though it may be encouraged in some cases.
The staff at Advanced Mental Health Center consists primarily of Dr. Ehsan, a PsyD-level psychologist, as well as her support staff.

In addition to individual counseling, the organization also offers couples and family counseling services as well. Culturally-specific counseling is also available as are services for children, adolescents and seniors. Mindfulness training may also be integrated as necessary. Parenting classes and prenatal counseling is available as well. Those who complete a primary care regimen can also work with Dr. Ehsan to develop aftercare plans.
