The Basics
New Hope Foundation was founded 35 years ago as a non-profit corporation offering services for substance abuse treatment and problem gambling. With numerous locations throughout the state of New Jersey, each offering a different range of services, clients have the option to choose the branch that caters best to their specific needs. The outpatient program at New Hope Foundation offers both a basic track and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with treatment scheduled both during the day and evenings. In addition to outpatient treatment, detox services and gender-specific sober living facilities are available as is a residential treatment program. Tracks are available for both adults and adolescents.
Treatment and Staff
Before treatment, clients must first go through an initial evaluation and assessment to determine which track is best for them and to develop an individualized treatment program. Outpatient services are available for those who have completed detox and/or the residential program with groups scheduled both during the day and evenings for those needing to meet work, school and family obligations.
Treatment plans combine individual and group counseling, family counseling, educational sessions and aftercare services. One-on-one sessions are scheduled independently between clients and their counselors, while group therapy is held at various times throughout the week. Staff utilize evidence-based methods including CBT. The 12 steps are not integrated into treatment, however clients may be referred to a local chapter if they desire peer support.
The staff at New Hope Foundation consists of a PhD, an LCSW and an LCADC.
Extras
In addition to the comprehensive outpatient program, New Hope Foundation offers a variety of other treatment programs and services to clients and community members. These additional services include a sober living program, adult and adolescent residential programs and a detox program.

The individualized nature of the program allows clients to receive treatment for their particular needs and to work towards their specific recovery goals.
